about this team

The Exit team is responsible for the inventory management of all exit strategies, focusing day to day on exit channels – outlets, hybrids, warehouse sales, saleable damages, donations/debrand. The goal is to support the business in providing a premium brand experience by planning and executing clearance strategies to maximize sales at the highest possible margin.

 

core responsibilities

The Manager: Outlets - Planning & Allocation leads the execution of the Outlet Store Sales & Inventory Strategy across North America. This role sets & manages operational priorities, develops relationships, and collaborates with key cross-functional partners & leaders (up to and including VP level) ensuring goals are met and the Outlet strategy is successfully delivered to stores and guests. 

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of 2 Planners & 3 Associate Planners
  • Lead the Outlet Planning and Allocation process on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis 
  • Lead the Outlet Sales and Outbound forecasting process collaborating with key cross functional partners to build timely plans and provide insight into any changes
  • Collaborate with key cross functional partners around Special projects (for example Aged Stragglers) and New Store Openings / Pop Ups
  • Contribute to the creation of the annual Outlet Store Sales & Inventory Strategy
  • Deputize for the Director - Exit/Outlet Inventory on Outlet related matters
  • Drive positive change within the team, identifying trends & executing on opportunities to move plans, processes and relationships forward

 

 

qualifications

  • 5+ years of merchandise planning experience in the apparel industry [vertical retailer experience preferred] 
  • Proven track-record of driving results; demonstration of strong financial & business acumen for inventory management.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to developing inventory strategies that align with financial objectives.
  • Proven ability to work with and lead a cross functional team.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Project management skills are desirable.
  • Previous experience with inventory management systems desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data modeling skills; ability to summarize complex analysis to executive audience

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $129,600-$170,100 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
