About this team

The lululemon On-Site Quality Assurance Team operates under the Global Supplier Quality function as part of lululemon’s Global Product Integrity team. The On-Site Quality Assurance team is responsible for proactively preventing, controlling and remediating quality non-conformances or defects before and during production, with the ultimate goal of ensuring products delivered to our guest meet lululemon's high quality standards and design intent This team is relied upon to partner closely with our vendors in-region to provide solutions to monitor, mitigate and prevent quality issues and to continuously identify opportunity areas for continuous Improvement. 


A day in the life: 
  • Manage team of On-Site Quality Assurance Technicians (QA Technicians) to execute quality assurance activities at factories that prevent, control and remediate quality non-conformances or defects before and during production
  • Manage the execution and review results of pre-production meetings conducted by On-Site QA Technicians with factories in accordance with policy and procedure
  • Manage the review and approval of pre-production / TOP samples by On-Site QA Technicians
  • Review and manage the remediation of non-conformances during and after production, including scoping, preliminary root-cause analysis, and rectifying any impacted units
  • Manage and create processes where needed to ensure conformance to established visual standards in accordance with policy and procedure
  • Manage the continual oversight of vendors’ quality controls through physical inline / final random inspection, audit, and analysis of the vendor’s and/or 3rd party inspection data as provided 
  • Monitor the effectiveness of inspection processes and work with the vendors or 3rd parties to change on-site inspection strategies as needed in accordance with policy and procedure
  • Manage the review, calibration, and approval of any differences between any raw material mill and finish goods factory visual inspection reports (outgoing and incoming) to minimize production quality risks
  • Approve the suspension of production when key non-conformances cannot be immediately resolved
  • Manage the resolution of any issues or non-conformances identified by the Global Supplier Quality Assurance Team or other key stakeholders, as required
  • Manage the completion of supplier quality-related issues as assigned, in accordance with lululemon’s Corrective Action, Preventative Action (CAPA) system and process 
  • Manage and develop team of On-Site Quality Assurance Technicians to ensure overall Global Supplier Quality and Product Integrity mandates are met
  • Be in the in-country representative of global supplier quality and product integrity, as well as the lululemon brand.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Technology or related field 
  • 10+ years apparel factory experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of inspection, fabrics, garment construction, testing and machinery is required
  • Ability to conduct workflow analysis, assess issues and challenges, and recommend corrective actions
  • Ability to analyze quality assurance data and trends is required
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools is required
  • Customer service oriented, good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability and willingness to accept and provide feedback
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to travel internationally is required
  • Clear written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player and ability to work independently.
