The Program Management and Delivery team is a part of our greater Marketing & Brand Engineering team. They are responsible for the overall program and project management across the organization and key in enabling business leaders and teams to realize the possibilities of new insights and ideas through data. They work extensively with various business units, project stakeholders, and technology team members to define, implement, sustain and leverage our data ecosystem across our programs. This team delivers data-driven capabilities to meet lululemon’s growing insights, analytics and intelligence capabilities leveraging the best-in-class industry proven solutions.

The Program Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of either a group of related projects, 1-2 programs across 3+ functions within lululemon, or 3+ well established and mature scrum/operational teams. The Program Manager oversees the Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineers responsible for tactical delivery of key projects within the program that could be agile or waterfall. They will work closely with the business/product partners, technology/business stakeholders, architecture, portfolio & core delivery teams. 

  • Responsible for overall delivery of a well-established capability in the program from planning to development that serves a long-term business objective or responsible for 2-3 scrum/operational teams.
  • Manages the assigned program of established and mature products, teams, capability or category or technology solution implementation or migration.
  • Creates overall timeline, stakeholder analysis, communication plan, cross-functional dependencies, reporting structure to track progress across multiple workstreams with guidance from Sr. Program Manager or Technology Manager.
  • Unblocks the team and proactively problem solves as needed throughout the program lifecycle with guidance from Sr. Program Manager or Technology Manager.
  • Effectively identifies and solves for potential risks, issues, and development strategies to prevent realization of risks while providing transparency to the applicable stakeholders.
  • Validates that the project delivers the expected outcomes with quality and supports business objectives.
  • Guides and coaches the Project Managers to ensure the objectives of a project are fully understood, documented, and measurable.
  • Manages Program budget (actuals & forecast).
  • Manages the onboarding & offboarding of resources.
  • Owns program related resource management and 3rd party vendor management. Point of Contact for Procurement, Security, Legal, Stakeholder Management (Sponsor, Leadership, Architects).
  • Develops relationships and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders across regions (NA, EMEA, APAC, China) and cross functional teams to ensure solutions meet timeline and business objectives.
  • Ensures all project/program tasks are clearly understood, assigned, and tracked.

 

qualifications

  • 5+ years in technology or related field in project management/ 1-2 yrs in program management scrum/safe or other agile practice certification required if leading a scrum team.
  • Experience working with Big Data in a program management capacity
  • Proven experience in leading the strategic path and delivery of multiple portfolio management capabilities such as but not limited to, onboarding, recruiting, vendor management, capacity management, dependency management, resource management, annual planning process, workforce management etc.
  • Ability to operate with low degree of ambiguity, leveraging existing processes and tools with guidance from Technology Manager.
  • Proven experience managing budget of >=$1M capex annually or size of initiative along with experience in forecasting.
  • Experience in managing waterfall, hybrid & agile delivery teams.
  • Proven track record and experience working in a global company 
  • Passion for problem solving w/ an ability to excel in an ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, multi-program environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to anticipate potential problems and proactively troubleshoot to resolve issues.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to influence and gain consensus in the absence of direct authority.
  • Proven results working with global and remote teams across different time zones.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $123,500 - $162,100annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.

workplace arrangement

In-person collaboration and office-based work is necessary and important for this role. Work is performed onsite, 5 days a week, depending on role requirements.
