The Cloud Foundations team is a key part of the overall Enterprise Platforms and Engineering organizational unit. This team works to streamline the developer experience by implementing the core infrastructure and automation that strengthens our security posture, reduces developer toil and contributes to reduced cycle times in value delivery to the business.


a day in the life 


  • Drive our Cloud Foundations “Automation Everywhere” strategy, identify new initiatives and support the evolution of existing products and services offered by infrastructure engineering teams.
  • You’ll partner with technology leaders to influence end-state architecture and drive secure, resilient, performant and scalable technology solutions that solve customer and business problems.
  • Support the product manager in the development of detailed solution roadmaps for a well-defined set of capabilities or logical group of systems, services, or products. 
  • You partner closely with delivery teams and product management to ensure that implementation meets design expectations. 
  • Proactively reach out to other architects and leaders in teams with which your technology integrates and you drive results through strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for capabilities in your portfolio and work actively within the Architecture Community of Practice.
  • Provide leadership in defining initiative requirements and success criteria along with guiding the design throughout the development lifecycle in partnership with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other Architects.
  • Document architectural designs for the capabilities that you own and how they interconnect with adjacent applications and services.
  • Actively participate in the development of RFCs.
  • Actively participate in and present at architecture design reviews.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality implementation of roadmap items and partner requests
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of the AWS and Azure cloud platforms, making data-driven decisions to enhance its efficiency and effectiveness.


qualifications


  • BS / BA in technology related discipline or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of real-world experience developing, deploying, scaling, and maintaining software systems and infrastructure: most of this experience should come from working in and around cloud-based services at enterprise scale.
  • Relevant industry experience is preferred, with an emphasis on providing governance and enablement for customers in a shift-left environment.
  • Deep hands-on experience using compute, networking, storage, and data components in Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure with Terraform or equivalent IaC tools. All infrastructure deployed and maintained through CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
  • Be able to describe the key services of a given cloud platform and be able to select appropriately for given use cases, e.g. compute, storage, analytics, etc.
  • Deep familiarity with microservices and serverless architectures, ideally at a global / enterprise scale.
  • Good understanding of well-architected framework and ability to promote best-practices and provide guidance to help engineers across the organization with cloud adoption.
  • Deep familiarity with managing accounts at scale and managing OU strategy, Resource Groups, and Landing Zones using Control Tower in AWS and CloudFormation.
  • Experience governing cloud resources and services using SCP and RCP in AWS and Azure Policies.
  • Identify and anticipate new tools and platform features which can be leveraged to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.
  • Design and document modern and efficient systems with excellent attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits Package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $136,200 - $180,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
