About this team

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, People & Culture (P&C) – APAC, this role will be responsible for shaping and executing local strategies that advance diversity, inclusion, equity, and action (IDEA) across the region. You will lead the design and delivery of impactful IDEA programs and initiatives, serving as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for teams and leaders across the business. Through close partnership, you will educate, guide, and champion inclusive behaviors that align with our global IDEA vision. A critical part of your remit will be to localize global IDEA goals and develop tailored, country-specific strategies across 11 diverse markets. Importantly, this role has dotted line reporting into the global IDEA function and will have responsibilities and commitments directly into IDEA.


A day in the life: 
  • Design, implement, and manage IDEA programs across APAC, including core programming, retail and corporate training, ongoing development, and localization of global initiatives such as Lift Your Own Voice (LOV) Sessions, Listening Sessions, Learning in Equity, Actioning Now (LEAN), Collective Exchange, Women Of, IDEA Global Internship Program, and Inclusive Hiring Training.
  • Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to shape and inform the local IDEA strategy, ensuring alignment with global goals and local relevance across 11 markets.
  • Maintain and update program assets and learning materials, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Author and curate new IDEA content to elevate diversity and inclusion efforts, contributing thought leadership and innovation to the function.
  • Represent the IDEA function internally and externally, demonstrating subject matter expertise and speaking on behalf of the department at events and forums.
  • Engage and enroll business partners and senior leaders, driving awareness, understanding, and accountability for IDEA strategy, program intent, outcomes, timelines, and success measures.
  • Conduct industry research to identify gaps and opportunities, providing insights and recommendations to enhance IDEA programming.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on diversity, inclusion, and equity trends, leveraging data and insights to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Partner with Communications to develop and execute a communication framework, including drafting and preparing materials to support IDEA initiatives.
  • Support Retail leaders and ambassador programs, embedding representation, inclusion, and equity into ambassador relationships and practices.
  • Consult and collaborate with P&C, Employee Relations (ER), and Employment Policy & Communication (EPC) teams on IDEA-related matters, ensuring integration across people practices.
  • Deliver region-relevant IDEA learning experiences tailored to APAC audiences, fostering inclusive mindsets and behaviors.
  • Support new market entry initiatives, contributing to IDEA integration and brand awareness strategies.  Partner with business teams to review content and collaborate on initiatives that promote inclusive practices and messaging.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience preferably gained in Asia Pacific region in diversity, inclusion, and equity (IDEA) work , including leadership roles, retail environments, and cross-functional collaboration. 
  • At least 2 years of experience in creating and delivering IDEA-related content, such as training programs, workshops, and learning materials.
  • Ability to manage stake holder expectations across functions in a multi-geographical culture and business  environment. 
  • Ability to travel twice quarter at minimum for APAC market support
  • Ability to support multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Advanced education in psychology, sociology, organizational behavior/development, cognitive behavior, or diversity studies is preferred.
  • Strong comfort with academic and professional research, with the ability to translate insights into practical applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
