about this team

The lululemon On-Site Quality Assurance Team operates under the Global Supplier Quality function as part of lululemon’s Global Product Integrity team. The On-Site Quality Assurance team is responsible for proactively preventing, controlling and remediating quality non-conformances or defects before and during production, with the ultimate goal of ensuring products delivered to our guest meet lululemon's high quality standards and design intent This team is relied upon to partner closely with our vendors in-region to provide solutions to monitor, mitigate and prevent quality issues and to continuously identify opportunity areas for continuous Improvement. 

 

core responsibilities

  • Lead quality assurance activities to prevent, control, and remediate quality non-conformances or defects before and during production
     Conduct pre-production meetings with factories, review and validate PP & TOP samples, and manage remediation of non-conformances with vendors
     Develop and implement processes to ensure conformance of bulk products, driving continuous improvement and reducing defects.
  • Establish and communicate clear visual quality standards for products, providing training to vendors to maintain consistent bulk product quality.
     Monitor and manage vendors' quality controls through regular product inspections, process audits, and quality data analysis.
  • Review and calibrate raw material inspection findings between raw material vendors and finished goods vendors to identify discrepancies and provide guidance to mitigate finished product quality risk
  • Develop and refine finished product inspection strategies for item-specific products, working closely with internal partners, suppliers, and third-party service providers to ensure compliance with product development standards
  • Manage remediation of non-conformances with vendors during and after production, including scoping, preliminary root-cause analysis, rectifying any impacted units and WIP in production.
  • Collaborate with the Global Market Product Integrity Team to resolve issues, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) in factories
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of Supplier Quality Assurance Technicians at vendor base to ensure consistent adherence to Product Integrity mandates
  • Onboard, train, and develop new suppliers to ensure bulk manufacturing quality readiness
     Identify vendor capability gaps and opportunities, work with vendors to develop production quality capabilities and maturity. 

 

qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Technology or related field 
  • 8+ years’ experience working in quality assurance role with strong leadership skills. 
  • Good understanding of garment manufacturing, quality control and passion for quality management. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of inspection, textiles, garment construction, testing and machinery is a must
  • Ability to conduct gap analysis, analyze data, assess issues and recommend actions
  • Customer service oriented, strong communicator, good organizational and time management skills is necessary
  • Eager to learn, initiative taker and problem solver 
  • Ability to travel internationally is required
  • Strong team player and ability to work independently.
