about this team

The Strategy & Insights team is a trusted partner in the development of long and short range strategies, working cross-functionally with the entire business on key strategic initiatives. Within that, the Strategic Insights & Foresight team is responsible for bringing a comprehensive view to market, guest and product insights, drawing on multiple sources and data to answer strategic enterprise level questions. Our team enables strategy partners by designing, conducting, and analyzing consumer behaviour and the competitive landscape to deliver a strong fact base of insights for leadership decision-making. Both qualitative and quantitative in nature, as well as spanning insight and foresight, the team holds a variety of roles and responsibilities

 

core responsibilities

The Senior Insight Analyst will support in the day to day collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, as well as synthesis of inputs to get to insights within the Strategic Insights & Foresight team at lululemon. This will primarily support Product research as well as some Enterprise research, ensuring the interpretation of data, formulation of hypotheses and development of analytical approaches to meet strategic questions.

    • Support with day-to-day data cuts and analyses – including using excel, guest
    • surveys, market surveys, Brand Health Tracker
    • Support in programming and quality checking surveys and screeners, coding open-ended responses from surveys
    • Develop initial hypotheses or trends from research and data; review and pull themes
    • from data to develop actionable insights
    • Decide on best ways to cut data and get to the right answers with the inputs available
    • Leading synthesis of data and research for key enterprise fact packs (e.g. Market
    • Intelligence Report) or ad hoc requests (e.g. prep for Board meetings) and integrate insights into actionable strategic implications
    • Support and lead qualitative interviews, including conducting interviews and creating guides, 
    • Present key information, verbally, visually or written, in a way that is succinct, accessible and understandable


qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. social sciences, statistics, business, marketing)
    • 1-4 year’s experience in relevant field, (e.g. market research)
    • Qualitative and Quantitative research skills: ethnographic research methods, data cuts and ability to read data tables proficiently
    • Knowledge of SPSS, Power BI and other data running software skills and database structures and design an asset
    • Strong analytical skills, critical thinker
    • Strong communication skills, written and verbal

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $88,200–$115,800annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
