about this team 

The Senior Technology Manager, Digital Experiences, is responsible for guiding and advancing the organization’s digital platforms, with particular emphasis on delivering high-performance, engaging global web applications and supporting infrastructure. This position leads the adoption of modern front-end components, tooling, and development standards to ensure seamless, efficient, and consistent guest experiences across a $3B+ e-commerce platform.

 

core responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor front-end engineering teams, promoting a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Establish and execute technical strategy for web applications, including framework selection, tooling, and development standards to support scalability and optimal performance.
  • Uphold engineering excellence by advocating best practices in code quality, observability, performance optimization, and technical debt management.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and UX teams to align platform capabilities with evolving digital experiences and verify the technical feasibility of new initiatives.
  • Measure and report key application metrics to senior leadership, facilitating data-driven decisions and insight into platform performance.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent, offering career advancement opportunities, feedback, and comprehensive performance management.
  • Optimize workflows and processes to enhance developer productivity, streamline delivery, and ensure projects meet timelines and budgetary requirements.

 

qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in a senior leadership role such as Senior Technology Manager or Technology Director.
  • Over 15 years of full stack software development experience with microservices and front end applications (React, Node.js, etc.).
  • At least 5 years of engineering leadership and delivery experience.
  • Five or more years in retail, eCommerce, merchandising, apparel product design/development, or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing substantial budgets.
  • Proven ability to translate business strategies into technological and engineering roadmaps.
  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and relevant libraries/frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.).
  • Skilled in producing documentation such as narratives and root cause analyses to provide actionable insights.
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps tools.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills suitable for executive-level audiences.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $158,900 - $208,500annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
