About this team

The Technology Director – Global Commerce Platforms - will lead the engineering strategies for e-commerce at Lululemon in partnership across the enterprise. This role will manage the overall teams that drive and support a multi-billion-dollar e-commerce order checkout experience and lead the creation and expansion of the next generation commerce engineering.  We are looking for a proven leader who has experience in developing global capabilities and building a strong leadership bench. The scope of the work spans across our lower funnel including Cart, Order Capture, and Payments for North America. This leader will also partner with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering for technology evolution as we build toward a global platform and support enterprise initiatives built on our microservices platform. 

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver commerce, cart, checkout capabilities that increase revenue and improves guest satisfaction while optimizing costs.
  • Create new commerce experiences like sharable cart across channels, quicker checkout, more payment options.
  • Create seamless guest buying experience in our various channels (digital, retail mobile, GEC).
  • Lead the overall the teams that support a multi-billion-dollar e-commerce core order capture experience.
  • Lead the creation and expansion of new eCommerce capabilities that align with our strategic goals.
  • Manage delivery challenges and define deployment strategies. 
  • Make thoughtful decisions on the fly, constantly clearing roadblocks to getting digital shopping experiences to our guest.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years is a senior leadership position like a Technology Manager (Engineering focus) or Technology Director role.
  • 15+ years of experience in technology. 
  • Proven experience working on large-scale, customer-facing eCommerce platforms.
  • Experience leading large scale global engineering teams.
  • Deep Expertise in API development and integration (RESTful, GraphQL).
  • Proven Experience building or working with headless eCommerce platforms.
  • Expertise building or integrating with payment platforms.
  • Highly valued experience with cloud optimization, responsive design and web and/or mobile development.
  • Proven ability to set strategic direction, manage cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality digital experiences.
  • Track record of delivery in rapidly changing highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $190,400 - $249,900 USDannually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
