About this team 

We are a group of passionate individuals delivering Lululemon’s Corporate Systems roadmap globally. Inventory Systems team is responsible for managing Inventory, Pricing and Sales platform for lululemon to ensure accurate view of Inventory across the globe for our stores, warehouses, and financial systems.

 

Core responsibilities 

As an Application Engineer, you will design and implement application solutions independently including complex configurations, custom development using platform-specific languages (e.g., Salesforce Apex), and system integrations while applying application engineering best practices and optimization techniques. You will lead technical design discussions on configuration and customization approaches, conduct thorough configuration and code reviews ensuring quality standards, and mentor junior application engineers on platform capabilities, customization techniques, and troubleshooting approaches. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders on application requirements and feasibility, make implementation decisions for application solutions including configuration versus code trade-offs, and contribute to application engineering standards that improve system quality and maintainability. This role may require availability outside of standard business hours, including on‑call support, based on business needs.

 

Select responsibilities include:

 

  • Design and implement application solutions including complex configurations and custom development using platform-specific languages within established application architecture frameworks
  • Configure advanced business objects, entities, and data models supporting complex business processes
  • Design and build platform-specific extensions and proprietary code to extend out-of-the-box functionality
  • Write high-quality platform-specific code for business logic, integrations, and extensions following platform development best practices
  • Lead technical design discussions on configuration versus platform-specific code approaches presenting proposals and facilitating team alignment

 

 Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4-8 years of experience designing application solutions, leading platform implementations, and establishing configuration standards, or equivalent
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex system configurations optimizing for business process efficiency
  • Experience designing complex low-code automation spanning multiple business processes; demonstrated ability to write scripts in platform-specific languages to extend functionality when needed
  • Experience managing configuration lifecycle across environments ensuring safe and efficient releases; familiarity with coordinating releases with vendor update cycles and platform maintenance windows
  • Knowledge of Oracle Retail Merchandise System (RMS), Oracle Retail Sales Audit (ReSA), Retail Price Management (RPM).
  • Experience in oracle PLSQL, Proc, UNIX shell scripting, integration Bus and message services.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from$105,800 - $138,800 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and subject to program eligibility requirements.
