“FP&A” is responsible for planning and managing lululemon’s overall financial performance. a day in the life: what you’ll do

Reporting to the Director of FP&A, EMEA, you will own the end-to-end P&L for EMEA Alternate Channels (Franchise, Strategic Sales and Wholesale), a fast-growing area of the business which operates in multiple countries and currencies, whilst also providing clarity on expenses incurred by departments supporting the region. 

  • Leads financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for EMEA alternate channels with constant review of assumptions for P&L drivers. Guides the Senior Director, Business Development and Alternate Channels on how best to financially achieve sales planning and profitability targets 
  • Delivers the annual budget and five-year plan, incorporating operating and investment plans. Responsible for evolving monthly/quarterly reporting and developing forecasts, understanding variances to plan and managing risks & opportunities. 
  • Fully owns partnership with Channel owners in EMEA including regular reviews with the Franchise product and operations teams and external Franchise partners for regular business updates, planning and forecasting activities.
  • Regularly reviews, analyses, and summarizes business performance and prepares ongoing management reporting (e.g. KPI reporting, variance reviews, investment performance & ad hoc analysis).
  • Plans, reviews, and manages expenses for business support functions, holding business partners accountable to budgets.
  • Leads the preparation of business cases and ad hoc analysis affecting the alternate channels, including new partner revenue & profitability evaluation. 

 

Qualifications, skills & experience 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree and professional accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • Min (4+ years) post qualified experience in FP&A/Commercial Finance
  • Strong understanding of performance drivers across Franchise and Wholesale partnerships
  • Ability to build, analyze and interpret complex financial reports and projections in MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiples task in a time sensitive manner
  • Strong ability to adhere to deadlines under pressure, dependable and solution oriented
  • Quick learner and adaptable to an ever-changing environment
  • Excellent team player and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to provide visibility to key business decisions
  • Self-starter of a proactive nature

In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed at both the SSC office and home office every week.
