About this team

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor (Inventory Control) plays a key role in the DC Leadership Team. They are responsible for supervising the warehouse floor, taking initiative, delegating work, providing “in the moment” feedback and coaching to the team, following up on outstanding issues and is a star “go to” person. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you are responsible for executing daily strategies to meet and exceed organizational goals. This position supports a team of Warehouse Associates and is responsible for the daily operations and functions within the DC.

 

 

A day in the life: 

  • Support the daily operations for a functional area within the DC, including workload planning and effectively executing operational objectives
  • Define daily workload plans for the Inventory Control department that meet the needs of the business, including:
    • Coordinate and review processed data – Cycle Counts, Outbound Audit, Inbound Audits
    • Provide guidance and direction for projects and new tasks
    • Develop custom Excel programs to improve productivity and time-management
    • Research and resolve variances related to store physical inventory counts
    • Regularly analyze slot inventory levels to identify erroneous activity and resolve issues through collaboration with department managers
  • Prepare and distribute reporting to the distribution center management team
  • Communicate all department updates to the Operations Manager, including daily staffing and workload updates, along with providing data and explanations for weekly/monthly reporting
  • Provide coaching and performance management to associates. This includes holding associates accountable to department standards, writing performance reviews and managing onboarding and offboarding of all warehouse associates 
  • You manage the development of the warehouse associates to ensure the successful delivery of the lululemon athletica culture, philosophy and values
  • You encourage and energize staff, and assist in evolving the Distribution Centre productivity tools and workflow
  • Partner with Operations Manager and Health and Safety Specialist to provide a safe working environment for all associates 
  • Create a motivational and supportive environment in which employees are challenged, coached, trained and provided with career opportunities
  • Mentor, coach and ensure development plans are created for Warehouse Associates, offering both positive and constructive feedback
  • Under the direction of the Operations Manager, performs and completes other additional projects, duties and assignments as required and/or request

 

Qualifications:

  • You have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills 
  • You have extraordinary guest interaction, strong organisational and time management skills 
  • You ensure an effective level of service is provided to other organizational units
  • You have strong IT skills (Microsoft office applications and outlook a must)
  • You have extensive knowledge in Merchandise Management Systems (MMS) 
  • You constantly coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks within a changing environment 
  • You are capable of coordinating the workflow on the warehouse floor efficiently
  • You have demonstrated ability to hold their team accountable for their own growth and development
  • You have demonstrated ability to think outside of the box, enjoys challenges and is solutions-oriented
  • You have the ability to lift 35Ibs repeatedly
