About this team
Finance team works cross functionally with other teams in the business for bookkeeping and financial reporting, as well as works with our auditors and tax representatives for compliances. We work closely with retail teams to support retail business operations, reporting, and growth. We also support market expansion in the region from all-round finance aspects.
A day in the life
- Manage for the financial accuracy of SEA markets, through owning the periodic closing processes and overseeing the quality of accounting report packages
- Work with APAC Accounts Payable Supervisor and coordinate with shared service center in accounts payable functions, including vendor invoice, staff reimbursement and corporate card programs for SEA markets
- Coordinate with Finance teams in Vancouver for the controllership function, including but not limited to accounting policy updates and group policies & procedures localisation in accordance with market practices
- Prepare annual financial statements and liaise with external auditor for annual statutory audit
- Support in market tax compliances, including but not limited withholding tax and corporate income tax
- Support store operations and related reporting
- Organize and maintain appropriate accounting books and records
- Handle other ad-hoc tasks or other Asia markets as assigned by the line manager from time to time
Qualifications:
- Degree holder in accounting or relevant disciplines with qualification of HKICPA or equivalent
- 8+ years' experience in a similar role covering SEA markets, experience with MNC or big 4 CPA firms is a plus
- Proficiency in Oracles EBS is an asset
- English proficiency, Mandarin and Cantonese fluent
- Good interpersonal & communication skills and highly professional style
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
- Be proactive and comfortable working with both local and remote team members
- Demonstrate behavior of being present and listening with openness and curiosity cross functional teams
- Be able to develop and maintain a good network of contacts, both inside and outside the organization, with people who can supply information, assistance, and support for work related goals
