a day in the life; what you'll do 

The Raw Materials Colourization Senior Developer is a subject matter expert who drives seasonal colour developments cross functionally and sees them through to completion and required quality standard.  Working on the Outerwear product category business for seasonal Colour & Print developments, you own the communication, updates and alignment across the Supply chain, the product team, and LLO.

 

  • This role will be focused on Outerwear to support the commercialization of Colour & Print on a fast track calendar.
  • Ensuring lab dips & print strike offs meet the determined technical quality standards and to deliver them to the highest level of aesthetic and performance attributes
  • Enhancing the technical capability of vendors to deliver the colour & Print seasonal business needs
  • Ensuring colourfast quality is achieved to meet the business requirement and Design, & Merchandising business vision.
  • Partnering closely with RM Vendors and the Sub-contractors, through daily up dates and conference calls when required
  • To manage the lab dip process end to end, creating consistency with colour developments across substrates.
  • Achieving buy ready target approval for outerwear developments ensuring early buy success, driving forward colour commercialization to the required timelines and gates. 
  • Managing risk and mitigating failures and technical challenges.
  • To develop artworks for print, checking layout, colour and colourfastness testing ensuring they meet Lululemon quality standards.
  • Partnering closely with cross functional divisions, leaders, and individual contributors, to manage risk and drive cross functional alignment
  • Partnering closely with Developers in region to deliver seasonal readiness for the outerwear category
  • Have the ability to explain complex colour challenges to the business in order to drive appropriate decisions

 

qualifications

  • 7+ of experience in textile and colour
  • University degree / College Diploma required, preferably in textiles.
  • Strong technical knowledge and development techniques for dying and printing Outerwear textiles
  • Experience traveling and working with suppliers in Taiwan and other APAC markets
  • Strong technical knowledge of performance product materials process and visual aesthetics
  • Successful in commercializing products on various calendar tracks
  • You have the ability to act objectively and uncover facts
  • You understand the complexities of textile colour & print development in order to deliver product
  • You are a clear, concise and confident communicator that lives to support the business
  • You thrive in dynamic fast paced environments, and can excel in organization

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from 119,200 - 156,500 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
