We are responsible for designing the global product assortment, creating the global colour palette, seasonal prints and graphics. core responsibilities

  • Research and stay informed of relevant global cultural and aesthetic trends, and global guest preferences. Analyze how graphic design trends, finishes and colours emerge and can influence the Graphic Design team. With the support of your Manager, refine and edit research through the lens of our brand strategy. 
  • Under the direction and mentorship of the Design Manager and the Graphic Design team, maintain graphic design techpacks, overviews and templates. Modify sketches and use relevant programs as required. Prepare graphic techpacks, overviews and samples as needed ahead of major GTM gates.
  • Under the direction and mentorship of the Design Manager and the Graphic Design team, select elevated techniques, finishes and trims from the Graphic Design and Trims library. 
  • Apply colour and graphics to the assortment, inclusive of new, core and carryover styles, in consideration of feasibility, known limitations and commercial viability. 
  • Support the Graphic Design team by taking detailed notes during fittings and updating styles accordingly, and develop a thorough understanding of all Graphics styles across Mainline and Special Projects. 
  • Maintain the coloured assortment as required, based on feedback and change requests from Design leadership and cross functional partners.
  • Systematically manage files, documents, and accurate records and notes, to support the Graphic Design team.
  • Work in collaboration with Apparel Design and Product Development partners to understand the full context of Graphic styles and assortments to inform the Graphic Design team as needed. 
  • Maintain and organize the Graphic Design space, sample library and keep track of inspirational samples. 

 

qualifications

  • 0 – 2 years minimum industry experience is required
  • BA, BFA or BS in Graphic Design (or equivalent)
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Design skills - To support the team in creating garments that are aesthetically pleasing, functional and commercially viable. This includes supporting the team in creating mock-ups, relevant note taking during fittings and updating styles
  • Communication - clearly articulate design ideas and concepts to the team, stakeholders and cross functional partners, both verbally and visually. It also involves listening and incorporating feedback
  • Innovative Thinking - Generate new ideas, processes and solutions that push the boundaries of product creation. It involves thinking outside of the box to produce fresh, innovative ideas
  • Organizational skills - Systematically manage files, documents, research and inspirational samples, and keeping accurate records and notes, in order to support the design team

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $55,300-$72,600 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
