about this team

This global team leads lululemon’s enterprise-wide social and environmental strategy through our Impact Agenda. The team is responsible to drive the development of public commitments, ESG strategy, and governance, partnering across the business to implement multi-year initiatives that build resilience, mitigate risk, and foster innovation. The team oversees ESG reporting and disclosures, including SEC-aligned filings and our annual Impact Report, and engages with key stakeholders to shape lululemon’s external voice in sustainability. With deep expertise in impact strategy, operations, and reporting, we are committed to delivering measurable outcomes aligned with the company’s purpose and priorities.

 

core responsibilities

 

  • Craft and deliver a cohesive and integrated vision through the enterprise Impact Agenda and set of public commitments aligned to the enterprise strategy and business goals in partnership with VP, Head of Sustainable Business and Impact and SLT
  • Establish and manage lululemon’s impact governance structure, including driving discussion and content creation for SLT and BOD level engagement 
  • Lead creation of key impact strategies, business cases, and investment plans. Partner with Product, Supply Chain, and Brand VP+ to develop investment roadmaps and support the implementation of impact initiatives
  • Architect and execute the enterprise-wide Impact portfolio management system - building and managing executive accountabilities, delivering multi-year goal roadmaps and investment needs, and metrics for all Impact Agenda goals
  • Deliver internal performance management scorecards and drive risk mitigation discussions with senior executives and teams
  • Monitor, assess, and lead approach to rising pressure in policy and regulatory space. Assess SEC/EU disclosure requirements and elevate risks and critical issues to senior executives, working with teams to develop the appropriate response and disclosure.
  • Construct and deliver reporting and disclosure strategy in line with rising requirements, stakeholder expectations, and strategic priorities
  • Create, oversee, and publish all ESG reporting, including internationally recognized and third party verified lululemon Impact report and other key disclosures 
  • Develop and deliver lululemon’s impact stakeholder and partnership strategy - meeting the diverse needs of stakeholders across the business including ESG investors, employees, civil society, and our guests
  • Assess changing guest and employee expectations and partner with Brand team to deliver and evolve our Impact positioning and platform
  • Shape lululemon’s external voice and thought leadership in collaboration with SBI teams, brand mgt, government affairs and comms/public affairs
  • Engage with external partners and represent the work to key audiences, as appropriate
  • Mentor, coach and recruit a high performing team, including direct and indirect reports

 

qualifications

  • Advanced degree in business, management, sociology, environmental sciences and/or related fields
  • 15+ years of professional leadership experience with a significant budget at a global, matrixed, publicly traded brand
  • 10+ years of direct experience in environment, social and governance issues
  • 10+ years of experience in strategy and/or reporting with demonstrated execution capacities
  • 10+ years of experience leading high performing teams

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $187,400 - $246,000annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
