about this team 

This role reports to the Director, North America Visual Merchandising and Styling. The North America Retail Brand Experience (NA RBE) department is a core function of the North America Brand Marketing organization, comprised of three functions: Visual Merchandising and Styling, Store Portfolio and In-store Marketing. We are the storytellers of the brand and product shaping the guest experience through exceptional product presentation, captivating signage and imagery, and a thoughtfully designed store journey.


The Manager, Visual Merchandising Testing will lead the development and execution of innovative visual merchandising strategies across our retail environments. This role will be instrumental in shaping how our product is presented in-store, with a focus on premium storytelling, assortment curation, and layout optimization. You will partner closely with Merchandising, Planning, and Strategy teams to test and refine visual concepts that elevate the guest experience and product journey.

 

core responsibilities   

  • Lead the creation and execution of visual merchandising test strategies across test stores and environments. 
  • Develop and iterate premium product presentation concepts that elevate brand perception and product storytelling.  
  • Provide weekly VM direction and support to test stores.  
  • Partner with SM, VMS, RM, and SRD within testing market to ensure execution is being upheld and standards maintained.  
  • Analyze test results and feedback to inform scalable VM solutions.  
  • Partner with NA Merchandising and Planning to curate assortments that align with testing brief, seasonal strategies and store profiles.  
  • Design and test layout flows that optimize product visibility, navigation, and conversion.  
  • Ensure product adjacencies and zoning support intuitive shopping and guest product journey.  
  • Own the strategy for mannequin placement, pose, and styling to reflect brand identity and seasonal narratives.  
  • Explore new ways of using mannequins and propping to enhance storytelling and elevate the premium feel of the store.  
  • Research and test new product presentation methods that differentiate our brand and enhance product appeal.  
  • Work closely with NA Merchandising, Planning, and Strategy teams to align on testing goals and execution.  
  • Provide clear documentation and feedback loops to ensure learnings are captured and shared. 
  • Influence senior leaders with clear insights and recommendations based on test outcomes.  

 

qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, merchandising or visual communications, preferred 
  • 5-10 years’ experience in visual merchandising, merchandising, or buying role 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills  
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a strong eye for details and aesthetics  
  • Experience working in retail, apparel experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits Package  

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $103,500-$135,900 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program subject to program eligibility requirements.
