About this team

The Retail Ops team is comprised of people that know a little bit about everything and a lot about most things within lululemon. We touch all aspects of the store operations, including making sure stores are seeing positive results that meet and exceed company goals. You are passionate about supporting our stores, and the best in the world at completing complex projects in record time by prioritizing, simplifying, aligning, communicating, SSC to store communication and global programs. In partnership with other store and SSC leaders, retail operations works on new initiatives that elevate and support the demands of running a store. Simply put, retail operations is responsible for making the complex simple and getting sh*t done.


A day in the life: 

As a Manager within the APAC Retail Operations Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the retail communication and implementation strategy across diverse markets in Asia Pacific. Acting as a strategic cross-functional partner, you will ensure seamless, impactful, and efficient communication between head office (SSC) teams and retail operations. This role is pivotal in driving engagement, optimizing communication processes, and ensuring the successful execution of key initiatives that support our retail teams.


  • Retail Communication Strategy & Optimization: Develop and implement a streamlined, automated, and effective retail communication strategy that enhances the way information and projects are delivered to retail teams.
  • Communication Management & Execution: Oversee the review, publishing, and traffic flow of all communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with business objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact for all APAC departments needing to communicate with retail teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the key liaison between SSC and retail teams, ensuring that strategic initiatives are effectively communicated and implemented to drive business success.
  • Effective Facilitation & Engagement: Lead and facilitate virtual communications, delivering information to small and large groups with confidence and impact. Utilize expert hosting and facilitation skills to keep audiences engaged and responsive to feedback.
  • Global & Regional Partnership: Collaborate with international and North American teams to align communication strategies, share best practices, and enhance the retail communication & implementation function globally.
  • Performance & Impact Measurement: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of retail communications, driving continuous improvement based on data-driven insights.
  • Budget Ownership: Manage the retail communication budget, ensuring strategic allocation of resources to maximize impact.
  • Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Collect and analyze feedback from retail teams to enhance communication effectiveness and drive engagement.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and develop the Retail Communication Specialist, empowering them to craft compelling, engaging, and high-impact content for the retail business.


Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience ideally within a retail communication environment
  • Strong ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Ability to work well as a cross functional partner and hold your peers accountable
  • Strong leadership capabilities and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Resourceful and high level of initiative
  • Strong retail and financial experience with an understanding of specialty store retailing
  • Ability to produce, compile clear and compelling communication in a variety of formats
  • Ability to organize, set clear priorities and manage multiple projects on tight deadlines
