about this role

As the Senior Manager, North America Ecommerce you are the business owner overseeing performance across product category.  Reporting to the Senior Director, North America Ecommerce, this role is a multi- dimensional partnership with functions within the Digital organization as well as key cross functional partners across the broader organization.  


This role is centered on achieving financial and business objectives while bringing a strong passion for all things digital and a deep understanding of the e-commerce marketplace. This includes expertise in macro trends, key industry players, and best practices. The strategic focus spans from immediate business needs to a two-year horizon, with a particular emphasis on initiatives within the next 12 months..

a day in the life: what you’ll do

  • Strategic Financial Planning:
  • Set financial targets by analyzing both high-level trends and detailed key performance indicators, collaborating with Merchandise Planning and Financial Planning & Analysis teams from topline metrics down to the product category level.
  • Continuously monitor performance against objectives, adjusting strategies to address changing business needs related to product categories.
  • Merchandising Strategy Development and Execution:
  • Analyze and identify high-level digital opportunities, providing actionable insights to shape future online assortments while highlighting key growth drivers and uncovering white-space opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Regional Merchandising partners to ensure e-commerce-specific needs, such as optimal product flow and ideal style count, are effectively addressed.
  • Lead website merchandising by developing and executing strategies for category and product page (CDP & PDP) optimization, including component strategy, sorting, linking, and navigation, to ensure a cohesive and guest-centric digital shopping experience.
  • Collaboration on Digital Enhancements:
  • Work closely with UX Research & Design, Digital Analytics & Optimization, and Digital Product Management to develop and enhance website and app features & functionality that effectively bring merchandise strategies to life.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment:
  • Drive alignment and prioritization of e-commerce merchandise assortment strategies within the broader digital team.
  • Act as the e-commerce business representative for product categories during key Go-To-Market (GTM) gates, providing insights and identifying opportunities for future assortment plans and buys.
  • Leadership & Team Management:
  • Lead and manage the North America E-Commerce category team (5+ individuals), ensuring website merchandising strategies align with and deliver on key business objectives, brand values, and growth priorities.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing team by recruiting, hiring, developing, and coaching talent to support the scalable growth of the e-commerce business.
  • Leadership Communication & Strategic Alignment:
  • Regularly engage with E-Commerce leadership to ensure that e-commerce initiatives align with overarching business goals and strategic direction
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Establish and refine team processes to drive operational efficiencies and foster collaboration among cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Serve as a key liaison to ensure cross-functional teams are aligned and working cohesively to meet e-commerce objectives.


qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience leading people and organizations
  • Minimum 5+ years in Merchandising, Ecommerce, or Digital
  • Experience with large sku counts, complex and diverse assortments, or vertical retail
  • Ability to function in dynamic and fast passed operational model
  • Robust Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel) required
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to pull insights from the data to inform and make decisions 
  • Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills, with the ability to develop and deliver persuasive presentations to internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Highly organized and exceptional attention to detail

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $134,100 – $176,000 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

This role is classified as In-Person under our SSC Workplace Policy:  In-person collaboration and/or office-based work is necessary or important for the role. Work is mainly performed onsite, 4-5 days per week depending on role requirements.
