about this team

The Asset Protection Operations Specialist is a key member of the Asset Protection Operations team, responsible for managing end-to-end billing and budgeting operations for the North American Asset Protection department. This role ensures accurate, timely processing of external invoices, drives cost management initiatives, and partners with external vendors to support the department’s financial operations.

 

core responsibilities

Budget Ownership & Financial Planning

  • Key partner in Asset Protections annual budget process, including building the budget from the ground up, partnering with Finance on the MBR cycle
  • Manage ongoing budgetary requests, exceptions, and changes throughout the fiscal year, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and alignment with department priorities
  • Monitor department spend against budgets, flag variances, and provide regular reporting and analysis to Asset Protection leadership and Finance
  • Partner to track budgets, accruals, and forecasts; proactively surface risks and additional spend to budget
  • Design and deliver budget management training for the field team, equipping field managers and leads with the tools and knowledge to manage their guard and travel budgets effectively
  • Own the development, maintenance, and communication of guidelines and billing management policies, including periodic updates and department-wide rollout of changes to Billing Operations
  • Review, process, and approve external vendor invoices in accordance with the companies outside counsel guidelines and billing protocols
  • Manage the eBilling platform for team billing organization, and serve as the primary point of contact for outside counsel billing inquiries and disputes
  • Identify billing discrepancies, rate deviations, and non-compliant charges and drive resolution
  • Develop and maintain billing procedures, process documentation, and internal controls
  • Support Asset Protection Operations initiatives including vendor management, outside rate negotiations, and technology improvements
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely payment processing

 

qualifications

  • 3+ years of billing experience
  • Proven experience owning or contributing to an annual budget process and AOP planning cycle
  • Experience with eBilling platforms (e.g. Coupa, TeamConnect, BrightFlag, Legal Tracker, or similar)
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with Finance

compensation and benefits package 

 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $71,400- $93,800 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
