A day in the life:

Responsible Recruitment & Employment (RRE) Standards Implementation


  • Develop and execute project plans for the implementation of RRE standards throughout the supply chain.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing recruitment and employment practices to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with international RRE standards (e.g., ILO core conventions, Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) code of conduct).
  • Create and deliver training programs for suppliers and internal stakeholders on RRE principles and best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of RRE initiatives and track progress against key performance indicators.


Supplier Engagement and Management


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration on RRE initiatives.
  • Manage the supplier verifications and validations focused on recruitment and employment practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to suppliers in developing and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance related to RRE.
  • Facilitate supplier workshops and training sessions.


Project Management


  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and collaboration.
  • Monitor project budgets and resources.


Risk Assessment and Mitigation


  • Identify and assess risks related to recruitment and employment practices in the supply chain and in various sourcing countries. 
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on emerging labor-related risks and trends.


Reporting and Compliance


  • Prepare regular reports on RRE initiatives and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international labor laws and regulations.
  • Document all supplier audit information, and training records.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Rights, Labor Relations, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on responsible recruitment and employment or related social responsibility initiatives would be preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of international labor standards and RRE principles.
  • Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken).
  • Experience with training development and execution.
  • Knowledge of Taiwanese labor laws and regulations.
  • Deep knowledge and experience on social responsibility, human right due diligence, modern day slavery topics. 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time in Taiwan and other countries as assigned
  • Comfortable driving change and embracing diversity and innovation in the face of ambiguity and complexity


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or social responsibility.
  • Experience working with migrant worker issues.
  • Experience with the RBA code of conduct.
  • Experience working with NGO's related to labor rights.
