about this team

The Digital Strategy, Planning and Operations function is a newly formed team within Global Digital. This function owns the end-to-end orchestration of the Digital business - defining long-term strategy, translating it into clear annual priorities, and ensuring disciplined execution. Its mandate is to drive focus, alignment, and value realisation by steering strategic planning, portfolio governance, performance management, and operating-model excellence. Ultimately, it ensures that Digital investments are strategic, sequenced, measurable, and delivered at speed.


core responsibilities

Strategy Development

  • Develop Digital north-star for lululemon through deep understanding of the business, the wider market and competition
  • Lead annual and multi-year Digital strategy development, in partnership with Product, Technology, Regions, and cross-functional partners
  • Deliver Senior Leadership and Board-ready presentations and insights


Portfolio Management and Governance

  • Own the Digital Portfolio - ensure initiatives are properly scoped, sized, sequenced, and KPI-aligned
  • Design and run the governance engine for Digital
  • Create transparency into progress, risks, dependencies, and mitigations.
  • Oversee the centralised single source of truth for portfolio performance
  • Define Digital KPIs, OKRs, and long-term value metrics
  • Drive global planning, including coordination of forecasting by region and insight into global and regional calendar


Growth Initiatives

  • Incubate and operate new commercial models (e.g. marketplaces, franchises, new partner-led channels) through early-stage launch and stabilization.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs, translating strategic intent into executable plans with clear milestones and dependencies. Own business readiness and change management, ensuring new capabilities are adopted, embedded, and operationally viable at launch.
  • Work with regional teams on P&L management and actively manage trade-offs between cost, speed, and scope
  • Establish consistent vendor performance reporting, SLAs, and escalation paths across the Digital portfolio


qualifications

  • 12+ years in digital strategy and portfolio management – with Digital channel experience a plus
  • Background in top-tier consulting or equivalent strategic leadership in a digital-first company.
  • Strong experience working across Product, Technology, Data, Finance, and matrixed teams
  • Proven track record leading multi-year digital transformation, platform programs, or portfolio governance functions.
  • Experience designing and running large-scale governance rhythms (QBRs, PMOs, portfolio reviews).
  • Experience in consumer, retail, e-commerce, marketplaces, or digital platforms strongly preferred

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $213,000 - 279,500annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
