about this role

As part of the corporate Compensation Team and reporting to the Senior Manager, Compensation, this role is responsible for managing the Compensation Centre of Excellence for our Annual Performance and Compensation cycles. In partnership with the Talent Activation team, you are directly responsible to deliver successful Performance and Compensation Review cycles to the global organization, including the development and implementation of compensation initiatives. You will partner with key stakeholders across P&C and the business, to understand business needs, translate these into detailed requirements, and identify areas for opportunity and improvement. The Senior Program Manager, Compensation will also manage other future compensation programs and projects as needed.


a day in the life

  • Translate high level vision and strategy of compensation programs and other project initiatives relating to Annual Performance and Compensation cycles
  • Develop and manage program and project timelines and deliverables in partnership with Talent Activation 
  • Create and oversee the maintenance of program documentation, including program requirements, supporting resources, and learning tools (which may be catered to each workforce segment)
  • Enroll and partner closely with cross functional teams such as P&C Digital, Business Partners, and Employee Relations in the delivery of Annual Performance and Compensation cycles
  • Promote effective program and project management including timelines, communication plans, establishing objectives, and risk and opportunity management
  • Dive into data analysis and reporting to provide insights and recommendations on our Annual Performance and Compensation cycles, and ensure the program is aligned to our Performance and Compensation philosophies 
  • Support in execution of communication and change management strategies
  • Manage and lead future compensation programs and projects as needed


qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in compensation, ideally in a multinational environment
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g. Finance, HR)
  • Requires significant compensation understanding in order to deliver successful programs that are aligned to our compensation philosophies
  • Project management experience is preferred
  • Experience in HRIS (Workday is ideal) back-end with a curiosity on how the back-end data comes together 
  • Experience in providing consultation to manager, employees, and business partners across a matrixed environment 
  • Effective communication and change management skills 
  • Highly proficient in Excel and in building PowerPoint decks 
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize workload
  • Detail-oriented and committed to a high degree of accuracy 
  • Highly ethical and able to deal with confidential issues with tact, discretion, and confidentiality

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from CAD $112,000-$140,000annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
