core responsibilities

Contribute to all areas of software development and operations, from pre-production to production. Work closely with a Technology Manager to guide team of Engineers though their day-to-day process. Serve as a central escalation point for production concerns. Act as the primary caretaker of production systems. Be a main contributor in Agile ceremonies. Provide mentorship and facilitate engineering training for team of Engineers. Perform and delegate engineering assignments to ensure production readiness is maintained. Conduct research to aid in product troubleshooting, optimization efforts, and to guide product development and tools selection. Participate in on-call support rotations.  Monitor key metrics and report on trends. Participate in our Engineering Community of Practice. Contribute to engineering automation, management or development of production level systems. Contribute to project engineering design and standards verification. Perform reliability monitoring and support as needed to ensure products meet guest expectations.

 

Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day/week.

Domestic travel is required up to 10%.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

 

qualifications

Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Software Architecture or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in software development.

 

Of the required experience, must have at least 5 years of experience in all of the following(which may be gained concurrently):

  • Design, development and testing of Java-based applications.
  • Technical debt prioritization and roadmap planning with Product Management.
  • Leading initiatives to ensure adherence of coding quality standards.
  • Working with REST-based web services.
  • Automated testing, continuous integration/continuous delivery and deployment standards.

 

Of the required experience, must have at least 4 years of experience in each of the following(which may be gained concurrently):

  • Design and development of service-oriented applications.
  • Requirements gathering and development of domain-level architectural designs.
  • HTTP, SSL, Headers, Cookies, TCP, and Caching.
  • Working with version control systems including Git or SVN.
  • Working with SQL or NoSQL databases.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $179,097.00 to $199,097.00 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
