About this team
Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Planning & Operations, the Senior Manager, Strategy APAC will lead the Strategy pillar in the newly formed Business Planning & Operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the alignment, clarity, and effectiveness of the APAC leadership team, as well as fostering seamless collaboration with cross-functional, global and regional stakeholders. You will manage the APAC end-to-end enterprise planning and support the execution of strategic initiatives that create the best experience for our guests. As an innovative thought partner to the business, your ability to bring fact-based frameworks and articulate actionable strategies through compelling storytelling will highlight opportunities and challenges to keep the APAC business on track to meet its growth trajectory.
A day in the life:
Enterprise Planning - Lead the 5 year strategy process by collaborating with APAC leaders to identify strategic gaps and opportunities for lululemon grounded in fact based analysis
- Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to create alignment and build differentiated, ownable positions in product, channel and brand to achieve our long range / annual operating plans
- Conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis of industry trends, consumer insights, and macro landscape to further our understanding in key growth priorities
Business Performance Excellence
- Foster a performance mindset culture by monitoring progress of APAC OKRs / business performance and proactively implement optimized processes through ongoing commercial planning and business review meetings
- Partner with APAC leaders across functional and market teams to articulate plans for risk mitigation and opportunities quantification
- Create compelling communication materials to articulate strategic priorities and progress for key executive moments
Strategic Initiatives- Identify and provide a prioritization framework for strategic projects that move the needle to deliver APAC objectives
- Lead or support strategic initiatives as required, balancing tactical execution with a broader strategic lens, providing structured problem-solving, research and analytical support quantifying outcomes to facilitate decision-making
- Seek out and recruit key partners across the business to establish working teams to improve cross-functional planning, solve strategic problems and drive lululemon critical projects
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Business, Management or similar required
- 8+ years of Experience in Consulting or Strategy in a Corporate with a Consumer, Retail or Fashion & Apparel focus
- Experience in an global matrixed organization, able to navigate an organization independently, and comfortable with ambiguity
- Proven track record in cross-functional project management - stakeholder engagement, program execution and change management
- Consulting and collaboration skills – skilled at consulting with wide variety of partner types and navigating unchartered territory
- Strategic vision and creative thinking: ability to look beyond existing processes and ways of working
- Demonstrates a structured problem-solving mindset and sound business judgement including strong knowledge of industry and economic trends
- Experience in leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to enable informed decision making
- Experience in coaching and developing team capabilities; trusted partner with skills to support leaders to lead from clarity
- Experience in developing and managing primary research a plus
