about this team

Reporting to Senior Director, Revenue & Inventory and partnering with the Manager, Sales Audit, the Senior Accountant will spend time with various partners across our business understanding new and innovative revenue streams and collaborating with various teams in finance to develop and maintain new procedures and policies. The Senior Accountant will work closely with our Finance Business Integrations team to understand and interpret finance requirements and actions related to new initiatives, including, but not limited to, lululemon’s Like New program, experiential stores, events, membership, and other initiatives that expand beyond selling merchandise.

a day in the life

Review new contract arrangements and assess accounting implications.
Present findings to finance leadership and collaborate with business partners to produce solutions that suit finance and business needs;
Design, develop and maintain accounting policies, methodology and processes for new revenue streams from an inventory and revenue perspective;
Period end journal entry preparation, account analysis & monthly reconciliations;
Creation and maintenance of procedure documents and policies;
Work cross functionally with other teams and departments to support appropriate accounting of new revenue streams & associated inventory impacts;
System & data testing to support new initiatives or business needs.

qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance;
CPA designation or equivalent;
3-5 years of professional work experience;
Advanced Excel skills, including PowerBI & PowerQuery;
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, concepts and professional judgment, with exposure to US GAAP an asset;
Experience with Oracle eBS, Oracle RMS and Spreadsheet Server, or equivalent, is an asset
