a day in the life: what you’ll do:


  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support various business operations, including brand, marketing, production and innovation.
  • Negotiate, draft, and review various types of brand agreements, including partnership agreements, licensing agreements, co-branding agreements, and influencer agreements.
  • Negotiate, draft and review commercial agreements, including R&D, innovation, and service agreements.
  • Ensure that contractual terms protect lululemon’s interests and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry-specific requirements, such as advertising and marketing regulations, consumer protection laws, IP laws, and data privacy laws.
  • Review advertising/marketing materials, including contest and sweepstakes, promotional offers, consumer emails, websites, social media, and other external communications.
  • Draft disclaimers and terms and conditions.
  • Provide strategic legal guidance to ensure risk mitigation and alignment with business objectives.


qualifications:

  • 2 to 4 years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer (prior in-house experience preferred).
  • Experience as an in-house lawyer or in a law firm with a focus on intellectual property, contract negotiation, and brand collaborations in the apparel retail sector.
  • Member in good standing of a Bar in the US or Canada.
  • Working experience with complex, high-value contracts at executive levels.
  • Strong IP knowledge.
  • Industry knowledge related to entertainment and retail collaborations.
  • Familiarity with advertising and marketing regulations, consumer protection laws, and data privacy laws relevant to the apparel, entertainment, and retail industries.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

 Authorization to work in Canada is required for this role. 


Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $80,700-$105,900 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
