Description & Requirements

who we are

lululemon is an innovative performance apparel company for yoga, running, training, and other athletic pursuits. Setting the bar in technical fabrics and functional design, we create transformational products and experiences that support people in moving, growing, connecting, and being well. We owe our success to our innovative product, emphasis on stores, commitment to our people, and the incredible connections we make in every community we're in. As a company, we focus on creating positive change to build a healthier, thriving future. In particular, that includes creating an equitable, inclusive and growth-focused environment for our people.

about this team

The Distribution Engineering team enables lululemon’s North America fulfillment network to operate safely, efficiently and at scale by delivering engineering expertise and technical solutions that support our distribution centers. The organization is built on three core pillars: Campus Engineering, which supports day to day distribution operations and continuous improvement across our campuses; MHE and Automation Engineering, which designs and advances our automation and material handling roadmap; and Facilities, which ensures the reliability and maintenance of our distribution center infrastructure.

The Distribution Engineering Solutions team plays a critical role in connecting these pillars—driving integration, alignment and scalable solution delivery across the network through strong program discipline, data driven decision making and cross-functional engineering collaboration.

core responsibilities

  • Lead the development of complex, cross-functional engineering solutions that connect MHE & Automation, Campus Engineering, Construction and Facilities initiatives into cohesive, scalable outcomes, supporting delivery teams in execution.
  • Translate business and operational challenges into structured, data-driven engineering solutions, including business cases and financial/operational models.
  • Provide structured support across the end-to-end solution lifecycle—from problem definition and requirements gathering through design, vendor engagement, implementation support and post-deployment validation—enabling delivery teams through expertise, alignment and technical guidance.
  • Reinforce PMO rigor across engineering initiatives, supporting consistent application of scope definition, milestone planning, risk management and stakeholder alignment.
  • Partner with internal engineering teams and external vendors to evaluate and design material handling, automation and infrastructure solutions, supporting implementation through technical guidance and alignment.
  • Develop standardized frameworks, tools and methodologies that improve how Distribution Engineering evaluates, prioritizes and delivers solutions.
  • Act as a key integrator across engineering functions, ensuring alignment of technical decisions with long-term network strategy while identifying opportunities to improve engineering processes and tools.
  • Build and maintain models and analytical tools that provide visibility into cost, capacity, throughput and operational performance.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and working sessions to align stakeholders on problem definition, solution design and execution plans.

qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline required; Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation or equivalent certification required.
  • 7-10+ years of relevant experience in supply chain engineering, industrial engineering, automation, or technical solution delivery within complex distribution or manufacturing environments, with proven ability to independently lead large, cross-functional initiatives in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong understanding of material handling systems, automation technologies, and distribution center operations, including familiarity with warehouse systems (WMS, WES, WCS) and their interaction with physical workflows.
  • Experience developing business cases and applying structured, data-driven problem solving to inform engineering and business decisions, including financial modeling (CapEx/OpEx), ROI analysis and scenario evaluation.
  • Experience partnering with vendors, integrators and external partners to evaluate and deliver technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with data and database tools (e.g., SQL), analytics and visualization platforms such as Power BI, and exposure to programming languages (e.g., Python) is considered an asset.
  • Strong proficiency with engineering and business tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) to support analysis, modeling and communication of solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights, alongside a demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across teams while maintaining discretion with sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
