about this team

The Retail Operations team is the bridge between the SSC and the Retail stores and play a pivotal role in representing the stores voice at the SSC. We lead initiatives that transform our Retail and Guest experience, and love strategic, resourceful and innovating people that excel at operations. We touch all aspects of the store operations, including making sure stores are seeing positive results that meet and exceed company goals. You are passionate about supporting our stores, and are best in class at completing complex projects in record time. In partnership with SSC and Store leaders, Retail Operations works on new initiatives that elevate and support the demands of running a store. 

a day in the life: what you’ll do

  • Oversee the review, publishing, and traffic flow of all Retail communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with business objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact for all EMEA departments needing to communicate with Retail teams.  
  • Responsible for managing the Retail Planning Calendar and works closely with SSC partners locally and globally to ensure all initiatives, projects and roll outs to Retail are diarised and planned efficiently. 
  • Responsible for the project management of all Peak season activities relating to the stores- ensuring effective cross functional partnerships with SSC, and the Retail teams have all the information and tools to set them up for success. 
  • Act as the key liaison between SSC and retail teams, ensuring that strategic initiatives are effectively communicated and implemented to drive business success. 
  • Lead and facilitate virtual communications, delivering information to small and large groups with confidence and impact. Utilize expert hosting and facilitation skills to keep audiences engaged and responsive to feedback. 
  • Collaborate with International and North American teams to align communication strategies, share best practices, and enhance the retail communication & implementation function globally. 
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of retail communications, driving continuous improvement based on data-driven insights. 
  • Manages the retail communication and localisation budget, ensuring strategic allocation of resources to maximize impact. 
  • Collect and analyze feedback from Retail teams to enhance communication effectiveness and drive engagement. 
  • Holds regular periodic calls with key partners across the SSC to understand upcoming activities that require calendar holds, communication slots and support with prioritising/planning.
  • Supports the induction of Newlu’s by representing Retail Operations in SSC inductions. 
  • Responsible for the design and creation of new tools and chapters within the Retail Operations Manual.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the EMEA Retail Operations Hub.

Qualifications, skills & experience 

  • 5+ years experience, ideally within a retail communication / planning environment 
  • Strong ability to work independently 
  • Ability to work well as a cross functional partner and hold your peers accountable 
  • Strong leadership capabilities and communication skills 
  • Outstanding attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Resourceful and high level of initiative 
  • Ability to produce, compile clear and compelling communication in a variety of formats 
  • Ability to organize, set clear priorities and manage multiple projects on tight deadlines
  • In Design skills and experience preferred
