About this team  

The architecture group at lululemon is responsible for guiding the design and implementation of technical strategies that support every aspect of our rapidly scaling global business. You will work in a matrixed environment alongside peers in business, engineering, program, UX and strategy – among other disciplines – to collaboratively develop and deliver industry leading technology solutions aligned to business goals and objectives. In addition to your primary team, project, or portfolio you will be supported by a diverse Architecture Community of Practice, which provides learning and governance resources to all architects and will help you build a strong and robust practice of leadership grounded in technical proficiency, innovative thinking, and empathy.  

 

Core Responsibilities  

As a Senior Architect II you support several delivery teams in the development of detailed solution roadmaps for a set of capabilities or logical groups of systems, services, or initiatives. You partner closely with engineers and management to ensure that implementation meets requirements and design expectations. You are proactive in reaching out to architects and leaders in teams with which your technology integrates and you drive results through strong cross-functional collaboration. You serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for capabilities in your portfolio and work actively within the Architecture Community of Practice.  

 

  • In partnership with Senior Analysts, Senior Project Managers, Senior Product Owners, Senior Engineers, and other Architects, you provide leadership in definingproject requirements and success criteria along with guiding the design throughout the development lifecycle. 
  • Participate andpresent atarchitecture design reviews. 
  • Create architectural diagrams that simplify complex ideas intobusiness friendlysolutions.
  • Proactively align with key stakeholders, seek organizational context, and apply learnings to architecture solutions; be comfortable supporting and communicating with diverse technical and business teams. 
  • Present at Steercos andOpscostotechnical and business leadership.
  • Take ownership of designs that span multiple capabilities. 
  • Evaluate, document, and escalate alterations to future state architectures. 
  • Communicates tradeoffs indifferent types of engineering and architecture processes and adjust your teams’ processes to meet the needs of the projects and others on the teams 
  • Contribute to the growth and strength of the architecture community of practice by actively attending &presenting at community events, and mentoring / coaching other architects within their expertise. 
  • Contribute, create, & maintain architecture patterns and practices within the responsible domain. 

 

 Qualifications:  

  • BS / BA in technology related discipline or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of real-world experience developing, deploying, scaling, and maintaining software systems;a majority ofthis experience should come from working in and around cloud-based services. 
  • Relevant industry experience isrequired, with prior experience developing solutions for retail or eCommerce businesses. 
  • Deep/experthands-on experience usingSnowflake,Azureand PowerBI .
  • Extensive experience indataengineering,data modeling,reportingand analytics.
  • Experience with Datascienceand ML tools and implementations.
  • Familiarity with dev ops processes and tools and how they fit into the data ecosystem.
  • Experience designing solutions that scale and are easilymaintained.
  • Very strongcommunication skills, both written and oral.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $148,000 - $194,300annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
