a day in the life
The Senior Director, Design Advanced Concepts, Accessories is responsible for driving innovation and ensuring cohesive storytelling across all accessory categories. By partnering with the VP, Accessories Design, this role oversees and is accountable for the pre-seaosn development and integration of seasonal concepts, collaborating with creative cross-functional teams to align on and deliver a unified brand experience in-store.
- Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Accessories Design to develop and implement pre-seasonal concepts that drive innovation across all accessory categories.
- Lead and oversee the translation of big ideas, main stories, and creative innovations into tangible design concepts for bags, headwear, equipment, and socks.
- Act as a key innovator and mentor, ensuring that the Accessories Design team is constantly thinking outside the box while staying true to brand identity.
- Serve as the central liaison among cross-functional teams—including Lab, ACC Event, AC, Energy, Creative Direction, Art Direction and Graphics, Print, Outerwear, Women’s Apparel, Men’s Apparel, and Footwear—to align on and deliver a cohesive brand story of the product.
- Support the VP of Accessories Design in attending major gates and events, presenting and aligning on design concepts to ensure strategic integration across all categories.
- Manage and maintain the conceptual processes within the team, driving the seamless progression of concepts from ideation and pass to mainline for commercialization.
- Ensure alignment and collaboration with various creative and product teams, reinforcing a unified brand narrative throughout all design outputs.
qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Fashion, or a related field
- 12-15 years of relevant experience
- Strong management and leadership experience, creating and developing high performing teams
- Master’s Degree in Design, Business, or a related discipline is a plus, but not required
- Advanced knowledge and expertise in design theories, particularly in fashion, sports, and hardware design is a plus
- Continuous education or certifications in innovation, product development, or creative leadership are highly desirable

Compensation and Benefits Package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $208,800 – $274,100 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
