About this team:


The Global Merchandise Planning team is responsible for building global capabilities to unlock product strategies and strive for brand consistency. The team works closely with cross functional partners to understand new product trends, and ensure regions are enrolled in forward-looking plans connecting current business with future vision.

The Global Merchandise Planning team monitors the business on a needed basis to fully absorb changes to core product performance, trends across each market / region, and performance of new product / strategy launches to properly maximize sales and mitigate risk. The priority is to understand and protect the guest experience, followed by delivering profitable sales growth. 


A day in the life:


  • Identify key growth categories to support product development on a 2- year out track, leveraging the long range planning process to provide key insights to planning and merchandising leaders based on current trends.
  • Develop forecasts / seasonal plans based on trends and opportunities. Focus effort to support future growth initiatives and product visions. 
  • Partner closely withcross functional teams, including supply chain, merchandising, design, productdevelopmentand regional planning,toinform product creation and strategic decision making.
  • Partner with Regional teams to analyze current business. Apply knowledge to forward-looking plans or forecast to drive meaningful growth strategies. 
  • Oversee a rolling 24-month demand forecasts across multiple core or new products; leverage forecast to supportSupplyPlanning team in building out Raw Material& Finished Goods capacity requirements.
  • Initiates and delivers process improves for Global Merchandise Planning across key GTM gates.
  • Actively capture opportunities and mitigate risk within the business – focus on protecting and enhancing guest experience with our products and brand.
  • Provides coaching, guidance, and resources to junior team members to help them succeed.


Qualifications:


  • College certificate or University degree is required, preferably in Commerce or Business Administration
  • 5-8 Years of Planning experience or progressive financial analysis and reporting experience
  • Expert knowledge of Excel is required
  • Proven track-record of driving results; demonstration of strong financial & business acumen for inventory management.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with an ability to reprioritize as needed
  • Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills (written & verbal), with a proven ability to influence others 
  • Self-directed problem solver, proactive and resourceful
  • Ability and willingness to accept and provide feedback to manager and junior team members

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $119,200-$156,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
