About this team
Reporting to the Senior Manager, APAC Learning + Leadership, this role supports the design of our programs for our greater retail and SSC (Store Support Center) teams. Based in Hong Kong, this role will work closely with the APAC Learning & Leadership Team, People & Culture Business Partners and Retail Market Directors across the APAC region to design strategic learning solutions and support priorities to cope with rapid business growth.
A day in the life
- Provide leadership and guidance on learning design standards, ensuring alignment between performance outcomes, content, practice, and assessment across the learning portfolio.
- Lead all phases of design for complex, high-priority learning projects.
- Partner with Learning and Business teams to conduct discovery sessions, identify performance gaps, and define solutions that address business needs.
- Select and present the most effective learning strategies to optimize performance.
- Consult and build strong relationships with functional project teams, leaders, SMEs, and stakeholders to ensure collaboration and alignment.
- Design and develop high-quality learning materials grounded in proven instructional design principles, including lesson plans, facilitator guides, eLearning courses, participant guides, job aids, and assessments.
- Measure impact outcomes against pre-defined success metrics and analyze learning data to improve engagement, quality, and effectiveness.
- Adapt to changing project needs by offering solutions, revising goals, and proactively communicating updates to partners.
- Collaborate with the Global Learning Design and Program Management team to align with global priorities and standards.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English, both written and spoke. Additional languages of Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Thai, an asset.
- 6-8 years of full-time learning design experience; conducting performance analysis, setting learning outcomes, designing and developing learning solutions (including creating instructor-led materials, online/eLearning modules, blended learning, job aids, etc.), and evaluation strategies (within the retail industry is an asset).
- Expertise in creating interactive eLearning using rapid authoring tools (preferably Articulate 360) and producing multimedia content—audio, video, illustrations, and animations—using tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Camtasia, and Canva.
- Strong understanding of SCORM/AICC standards and experience preparing and troubleshooting compliant eLearning packages.
- Skilled in designing microlearning and social learning interventions.
- Proven ability to assess learning needs and deliver impactful solutions that drive individual and organizational performance.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects, collaborating across teams, and partnering with external vendors.
- Post-secondary education in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Interactive Arts and Technology, Education, or equivalent experience.
