About this team

Reporting to the Director of International Asset Protection, this critical leadership role in the Global Asset Protection Department will be responsible for our EMEA retail business unit. Acting as a trusted and seasoned leader and subject matter expert, the Senior Manager will lead a team who are charged with ensuring lululemon remains the safest place to work in the retail sector and responds to an evolving risk landscape. This role will ensure the strategy is geared towards protecting people and property across our EMEA market and maintain a safety and compliant environment for our guests both in store and at events. The Senior Manager will also act as the regional lead in response to any incidents that have a potential to impact the safety of our people, our guests or our business as well as implement strategies to minimise risk.

 

A day in the life: 

  • Design and deliver a strategy that prioritises the security of the EMEA retail business across the pillars of well-being, risk mitigation, financial value & social impact based on the current and evolving risk landscape
  • Lead, connect, grow and develop the EMEA Asset Protection & People Safety Team 
  • Act as a trusted leader to retail key business partners and act as a subject matter expert on all matters relating to retail security, organised retail crime, investigations & people safety
  • Lead the business to effectively resolve incidents relating to loss, emergency management and physical security 
  • Ensure teams are delivering best-in-class training that is rooted in our culture and core value and is risk based
  • Ensure all in market internal & external investigations & integrity line complaints that fall within the departments responsibility are managed to the highest possible standard & implement strategies to identify new trends or risks in the investigative/fraud space to ensure best practice standards continue to be met
  • Lead the regions initial triage response to any incident and act as the deputy for any in market major incidents or crises that occur as per the company's incident management framework
  • Partner with legal, brand protection, local law-enforcement, security providers & external regional stakeholders in the security & safety field to ensure compliance is prioritised and business objectives & necessary standards are met
  • Work with franchise partners to ensure best practices are being applied and programs are implemented to minimise any risk to the brand
  • Fiscally responsible for budget management and department accounting practices
  • Travel to markets as required

Qualifications:

  • Formal accreditation in security, risk management or internal audit
  • Awareness of industry wide compliance needs
  • Wicklander-Zulawski non-confrontational interview training and/or related experience an advantage
  • 12+ years in occupational health & safety, asset protection, internal audit or related function 
  • Asset Protection or internal audit experience in a retail network and/or retail operations experience an advantage
  • Outstanding communication skills, including proven ability to influence in all areas of an organization
  • Fluency in written and spoken English with command of another language an advantage
