About this team

The Korea Product team plays a critical role in informing and developing the assortment strategy, in season performance, and market right product decisions for our fastest growing market. The team partners closely with Brand, Digital, Retail, Planning, and the Korea Leadership Team to support strong commercial results and impactful brand moments, including those tied to Korea’s flagship store and expanding store network.


This Senior Manager Country Merchandise - Korea, leads the in-market Product function end to end, serving as the key decision maker for all Korea specific product matters. This role drives the overall Korea product strategy, provides leadership at the Korea Leadership Bench, and represents Korea Product to the APAC SLT. The role currently manages a small team, with clear plans to scale as the market continues to expand. This role is pivotal in shaping Korea’s long-term growth and ensuring alignment between guest needs, commercial priorities, and regional/global product strategies.


A day in the life 

  • Lead strategic alignment and enroll key partners across Korea cross-functional teams, Regional Buying / Planning, and Retail leader to drive unified execution and decision-making
  • Serve as the key decision-maker for all Korea-specific product matters (namely strategic growth priorities and commercial trade-offs) 
  • Act as the primary Product representative to the Korea Leadership Bench and APAC Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic insights and recommendations 
  • Translate regional strategy into a Korea-specific product plan that reflects guests needs, market dynamics and competitive trends
  • Formulate high-performance product strategies and deliver measurable commercial impact for Korea, aligned with long-range market growth and regional priorities 
  • Deliver critical market outputs to the Regional team including annual and future product strategies, topline performance insights, segmentation analysis, quarterly roadmaps, and in-season recommendations 
  • Drive continuous market intelligence through assortment insights, product line requests and regular market/store visits to inform future direction and strengthen Korea product relevance 
  • Identify critical product needs that will drive brand desirability, relevance and commercial success


Qualifications:
  • Extensive retail buying and merchandising background, with significant Korea market experience and 10+ years in relevant roles 
  • At least 5 years of proven leadership experience with strong people management capabilities 
  • Demonstrated success in high-growth, complex, and fast-paced retail organizations, ideally in vertical and omni-channel environments 
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to make strategic, data-informed decisions and take calculated risks 
  • Deep market and consumer insight, with strong awareness of product, style, and color trends with athletically minded 
  • Highly analytical with mastery of retail mathematics and the ability to interpret diverse datasets across markets and channels 
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and presenting effectively SLT level 
  • Entrepreneurial, agile, and results driven, able to manage multiple priorities, solve complex challenges, and deliver consistent outcomes
