As a world‑class design team, we are at the forefront of creating transformative products and experiences for our guests—especially performance athletes. We establish the creative direction for the brand through a deep understanding of athlete needs, cultural context, and the science of feel. Our work sits at the intersection of design, innovation, and advanced textiles, where raw materials are as critical as silhouette and style.

We create products distinguished by their fit, function, durability, and aesthetic, ensuring they perform at the highest level in real athletic environments. The team is responsible for designing the global product assortment, creating global colour palettes, seasonal prints and graphics, and driving material and textile choices that enhance performance. We cultivate a culture of continuous learning and growth, empowering Designers to push boundaries and reach their full potential.

the role

The Design Assistant supports the Senior Designer with a strong emphasis on textiles, materials, and performance‑driven apparel design. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is deeply curious about how fabric, construction, and design decisions impact athlete performance, comfort, and durability.

You will contribute across the design process—from research and material exploration through to fittings and final colour execution—while developing a strong foundation in designing for performance athletes.

compensation and Benefits Package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $55,300-72,600 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

workplace arrangement

This role is classified as Hybrid under our SSC Workplace Policy: In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 4 days per week.
