About the Global Internship Program 

Our Global Internship Program offers an immersive, inclusive, and fun learning experience for early-in-career talent at select participating Store Support Centre (SSC) locations.  Throughout the 12-week program, interns gain exposure to real business initiatives, contribute to meaningful projects, and build lasting connections through networking opportunities, company events, and mentorship from leaders across the organization. The 2026 program opportunities will be product-focused, with interns supporting the teams driving product innovation and international growth.

 

  • Program Dates: June 1 to August 21, 2026 (dates subject to change)
  • Compensation & Benefits: Full-time, paid internship with access to group fitness classes, employee discount, and paid time off (prorated), including observed holidays.
  • Development Opportunities: Q&A sessions with executive leaders, alumni networking events, and career development sessions.
  • 3-Tier Support: Each intern is paired with a manager, mentor, and buddy for day-to-day support and dedicated career guidance.
  • Career Pathways: Interns participating in the 2026 program may have early access to be considered for available full-time job opportunities.

 

Product Design at lululemon

A day in the life 

As a Design Intern, you’ll collaborate with our industry-leading Design team to help create apparel that sets the standard in innovation, function, fit, and quality. You’ll gain exposure to the full product lifecycle and contribute to the development of seasonal collections through hands-on design work, fittings, and cross-functional collaboration. This internship is a chance to showcase your passion for fashion, lifestyle, culture, and emerging trends – an opportunity to channel your unique design ideas into work that inspires, influences, and shapes what’s next.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Team Support: Assist designers in creating visually appealing, functional, and market-ready garments by contributing to mock-ups, updating tech sketches and style details, capturing fitting notes, and maintaining tech packs and overview boards to reflect cross-functional feedback.
  • Participate in Fit Meetings: Attend design and product meetings to capture detailed notes, feedback, and action items, ensuring accurate updates to styles and documentation.
  • Sample Management: Help manage design samples, organize the design space, and sample library.
  • Trend & Guest Research: Stay informed on global fashion, streetwear, and cultural trends to support the creation of elevated lifestyle products aligned with guest preferences.
  • Visual Storytelling Support: Help prep for gate presentations by building line overviews, flat drawings, and color deliverables for cross-functional partners.

Additionally, during your internship, you'll participate in a Design Project. This is an exciting opportunity showcase  your creativity and technical skills and build your portfolio through a lululemon-related project. You will receive mentorship and guidance from senior designers and have the opportunity to present your project to senior leadership.

Qualifications: 

  • Completed or currently pursuing BA, BFA or BS in Design required (or equivalent)
  • Portfolio link or PDF submission is strongly encouraged 
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Strong communication skills to effectively share design concepts and collaborate across teams
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and challenge conventional approaches
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and adaptable; comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving problems proactively
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks to meet deadlines
  • Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and growth

Compensation and Benefits Package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $55,300-$60,300 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 4 days per week.
