About this team: From concept through to pre-production stage, Product Development is the front-line regarding communication with the finished goods vendor base, launching sketches, requesting sampling, fitting product, and keeping an accurate data library of the life cycle of a product. Product Development is a truly cross functional working group that pivot to partners such as Design, Concept, Global Fit, Technical Development, Quality, Merchandising, Finished Goods Sourcing, Raw Materials, and Go To Market operations to deliver a commercially ready product to our buying teams.

A day in the life: The Junior Product Developer supports the Product Development organization, under the mentorship & partnership of more senior Developers, to drive the commercialization of best-in-class product in partnership.
• Responsible to set up and oversee mid to low complexity styles from concept through to production readiness
• Complete and manage less complex style BoM/tech pack initiation
• Create, update, and ensure accuracy of colour BoMs throughout the season
• Complete Bamboo Rose cost triggers as needed at relevant GTM milestones
• Maintain data integrity in Flex PLM and other relevant systems
• Organize daily workflow that adheres to GTM deliverables & development timelines
• Attend all product fittings and key product meetings
• Work closely with Technical Development to advance technical knowledge of our brand’s construction and fit standards
• Gain support and enrollment of the intended audience and stakeholders through both verbal and visual communication and education
• Initiate connection and build relationship with external vendor partners
Shadow more senior Product Developers on how to track and conduct risk assessments and identify High Attention Styles (HAS) based on vendor, style, colour, and material
• Developing pre-costing skill set and beginning to apply to seasonal style development
• Present and update on style status and mitigation plans at key product or POD meetings
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience; focused training in Technical Design, Product Management, Product Development or relevant experience preferred
• 2+ years minimum industry experience (preferably within the Product Development, Product Management or Sourcing departments)
• Proficiency in MS office (Excel/Word/Outlook), Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
• Proficiency with Flex PLM or similar PLM software is recommended

• Curiosity for change & learning, capable of managing ambiguity
• Familiarity or proficiency with Gerber Pattern Making and/or 3D software (CLO,Browzwear) is an asset
• Ability to lift 10kg as needed

Compensation and Benefits Package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $64,100 – $84,100 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
