About this team

As a member of P&C Business Partnering team in Asia Pacific, you have the chance to work with a passionate, fun, warm and efficient team, as well as to lead a diverse retail P&C team with the unique lululemon value and culture.

 

As a key member of the Australia and New Zealand P&C team, you will support the Area Director, Australia and New Zealand and Regional Managers to provide effective, suitable and professional people experience to business stakeholders while keeping up pace with business operational needs. You play a critical role in connecting with regional to localize programs and initiatives to supporting Retail in Australia and New Zealand. You report into the Senior Manager, People & Culture Business Partnering – Australia & New Zealand, and lead a small team supporting the retail organization in AUNZ.


A day in the life 
  • Executes P&C priorities and deliverables to the Retail organisation, working closely with the Senior Manager, P&C AUNZ and Area Director AUNZ.
  • Leverages a deep business understanding to identify issues, diagnose root causes, provide insights, offer recommendations and develop proactive solutions to solve pressing business objectives through talent lens, such as productivity, engagement, skill development, attraction and retention & recognition.
  • Provides insights and feedback to in market Center of Excellence (CoEs) and Retail Leaders, representing the voice of the business to P&C and the voice of P&C to the business. 
  • Acts as the key business and P&C intermediary, translating business strategy to inform P&C and P&C strategy to inform the business (including Talent and Workforce Planning activities)
  • Partners with the Health and Wealth team to manage total rewards cycles, including annual merit reviews, bonus program, promotions, and out of cycle requests for the Retail business.
  • Coordinates with internal cross functional teams (Payroll Specialist, FP&A Manager, Regional Managers /Store Managers) to ensure all people movements (new hires, transfers, exits) are accurately processed as planned 
  • Influences and coaches Retail leaders on key P&C and business issues as well as how to attract, select, develop, manage, and retain the best talent to drive results
  • Ensures compliance with internal policies and practices, and with relevant industrial instruments and employment legislation
  • In partnership with the Employee Relations team, ensure compliance for all corporate policies & procedures, laws and corporate P&C related matters are proactively researched and managed.
  • As required in partnership with Employee Relations, lead and conduct investigations regarding violations of our company’s standards of conduct and policies. 
  • Coaches Retail Managers on performance improvement plan process and make recommendations for action.
  • Manages Employee Listening processes, monitor employee engagement and provide advice and recommendations on action plans to build strengths and address areas of opportunity.
  • Supports with delivery of annual people programs including Pace, bi-annual compensation review and promotion exercises and bonus programs
  • Validates and confirms that all P&C administrative forms/systems are correctly completed by managers with appropriate approvals, and regularly create and maintain employee records in Workday
    1. Ensure that all Workday people transactions and reporting are completed in a timely manner along with general P&C administration management in partnership with People Experiences support team.
  • Coach and develops team members to ensure P&C services and cyclical people processes are effectively meeting the needs of the market.
  • Responsible for the hiring, management, leadership, development, and engagement of the P&C Retail organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Business (Human Resources Management or Organisational Psychology) Degree
  • 8+ years of working experience as a manager in a full spectrum of human resources capacity
  • Well versed of the local employment law 
  • Strong business acumen. Understands business drivers and creates opportunities to connect with business directly to learn about its needs and perspectives and seen as credible functional expert
  • Experience leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to enable informed decision making
  • Experience coaching and developing team capabilities; trusted partner with skills to support leaders to lead from clarity
  • Strong project management – stakeholder engagement and program execution and change management 
  • Consulting and collaboration skills – skilled at consulting with wide variety of partner types and navigating unchartered territory
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and ability to apply to a variety of situations
