core responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer I, you will serve as a technical leader and mentor, bringing deep expertise in your domain and guiding engineering teams through all phases of development and operations—from pre-production to production. You will collaborate closely with your Technology Manager to support day-to-day engineering activities, offering direction, resolving technical challenges, and acting as a primary escalation point for production-related issues.


In this role, you will be a key member of an Agile release team, with responsibilities that may include on-call support. You will be recognized as a technical owner of the production systems you support, with a strong focus on optimizing product delivery for performance, security, and reliability.


  • Using your in-depth knowledge of all things iOS to help design, develop and deliver innovative new experiences to our mobile application
  • Apply your experience in developing iOS applications to help drive technical conversations with peers form different backgrounds across different teams
  • Willing to explore and learn new technologies outside your comfort zone
  • Major contributor for product roadmaps and reliability strategy
  • Partner with project management and team lead to deliver status and performance updates
  • Conduct research to aid in product development and tools selection
  • Provide an escalation point and participate in on-call support rotations
  • Actively monitor key metrics, reports on trends, and make improvement recommendations
  • Facilitate an Engineering Community of Practice for your product(s)
  • Contribute to engineering automation, management or development of production level systems


qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Software Architecture preferred; candidates with substantial and relevant industry experience are also eligible
  • Seven+ years of engineering experience
  • Significant iOS knowledge and experience, specifically around Swift, SwiftUI and the MVVM model
  • Experience and knowledge in App performance tools such as Xcode Instruments and Firebase
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in mobile development
  • Knowledge of CI/CD principles and best-practices.
  • Experience working with bug tracking and task management software such as JIRA, etc.
  • Experience developing solutions for retail or eCommerce businesses and other relevant domains such as manufacturing & logistics, supply chain, or corporate shared services
  • Ability to assume the leadership/mentorship of Engineers
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $123,500 - $162,100 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
