about this team

The Outbound Logistics Strategy & Optimization team is responsible for developing and executing the long-term logistics strategy and optimizing the logistics network. The team works closely with the Logistics Operations team, a diverse group of internal stakeholders and our logistics vendors to provide best-in-class logistics solutions. Reporting to the Director, Outbound Logistics Strategy & Optimization the Senior Specialist, Freight Audit & Spend will be responsible for ensuring lululemon’s Outbound logistics spend is being invoiced correctly, coded correctly, and paid on-time. The candidate will be working closely with our external Freight Audit & Pay partner, our vendors/carriers, the lululemon finance & accounts payable team and the logistics team.

 

a day in the life

  • Acts as the Outbound Logistics subject matter expert when it comes to carrier billing & spend
  • Ensures all Outbound Logistics invoices are audited and paid
  • Works with finance partners to ensure logistics costs get coded to the correct GL
  • Partners with the logistics analysts to ensure costs are correctly represented in our reporting
  • Enables cost reductions by challenging potentially wrong billing
  • Resolves billing issues with the respective stakeholders independently
  • Manages the operational relationship with our Freight Audit & Pay vendor
  • Leads the onboarding process of new carriers in regard to freight audit & pay
  • Acts as the point of contact for all carrier billing related questions
  • Produces meaningful and accessible insights for the Outbound Logistics category
  • Supports the OBL team and other stakeholders with subject matter expertise related to carrier billing & costs

 

qualifications

  • Must have 2-5 years of experience with Freight Audit & Pay and corresponding tools, additional experience in Logistics is a plus
  • Experience with and comfortable in handling large amounts of data. Experience with PowerBI, SQL or similar data analytics tools is a plus
  • Ability to reliably meet deadlines and delivering high-quality, consistent work outputs
  • A keen eye for details and a drive to resolve issues effectively
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct analysis on large quantities of billing data
  • Self-starter approach to work independently, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Undisputed integrity, personal and business ethics; ability to build trust and respect with different stakeholder groups.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field – Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or similar

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $81,500-107,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
