About this team
The Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising, APAC is responsible for leading the long‑term vision, strategy, and executional excellence of Visual Merchandising across APAC markets. This role ensures a consistent, premium, and brand‑led in‑store experience that drives guest connection, commercial performance, and operational clarity across a diverse and complex region. As a regional leader, this role bridges global brand direction with local market execution, developing scalable playbooks, tools, and ways of working that enable markets to deliver with clarity, consistency, and impact. This position plays a critical role in elevating visual storytelling, product presentation, and in‑store journeys across all store formats in APAC.
A day in the life
Visual Merchandising Strategy & Brand Expression:
- Lead the APAC VM and Styling long‑term vision, strategy, and seasonal direction, ensuring alignment with global brand moments and product storytelling priorities.
- Translate global VMS frameworks into clear, relevant, and executable regional playbooks that support varied market maturity levels.
- Champion best‑in‑class visual standards that elevate brand expression while driving sell‑through and conversion.
Regional Execution & Enablement:
- Oversee the development and delivery of VMS tools, guides, and training materials to enable consistent execution across all APAC store formats.
- Partner closely with Market RBE leads, Retail Operations, and Store Design to support new store openings (NSOs), remodels, and optimizations.
- Establish clear executional expectations, governance, and feedback loops to continuously improve in‑store presentation.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Global RBE, Brand Marketing, Product, Merchandising, Store Design, and Retail Operations to ensure cohesive guest journeys across touchpoints.
- Act as the regional VMS subject‑matter expert, providing strategic input into seasonal planning, go‑to‑market (GTM) processes, and innovation pilots.
- Share APAC insights and market needs back to global partners to inform future global strategies.
Team Leadership & Capability Building:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing regional VMS team, fostering strong succession planning and capability growth.
- Create a culture of creative excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the VMS community in APAC.
- Support talent development through clear role clarity, skill building, and career pathways.
Operational Excellence & Performance Management:
- Own regional VMS planning, budget oversight, and resource allocation.
- Define and track key performance indicators, including guest experience, brand consistency, execution quality, and commercial impact.
- Drive simplification and scalability of VMS processes to support a growing and evolving APAC store fleet
Qualifications:
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in Visual Merchandising, Retail Brand Experience, or Creative Retail Leadership, ideally within a premium or global brand environment.
- Proven experience leading regional or multi‑market VMS strategies in complex, diverse markets.
- Strong ability to balance creative vision with operational execution.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including managing senior leaders or regional teams.
- Experience collaborating with global partners and influencing without direct authority.
Preferred:
- Experience working within the APAC region.
- Strong understanding of retail commercial drivers and how VMS impacts performance.
- Degree in Design, Fashion, Marketing, or related field (preferred, not required).
- Experience scaling playbooks, training, and execution frameworks across markets.
