The People Data and Analytics team at lululemon delivers secure, scalable analytical solutions that empower our employees and support strategic business initiatives. We combine modern data platforms like Databricks, MS Fabric, and Snowflake with Agile and DevSecOps practices to build trusted, high-quality data products and integration solutions. This team is responsible for all people data platforms/technologies and responsible for delivering on our aligned people data analytics roadmap, making data accessible and powering decision making across the enterprise. This is a global team, primarily out of Seattle, WA and Vancouver Canada.
Our mission is to enable cost effective data-driven decision-making for our people by ensuring our solutions are reliable, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. We work cross-functionally with enterprise engineering, architecture, analytics, and business teams to create meaningful impact through technology.
core responsibilities
It’s exciting times at lululemon and we are having a great time delivering value to our guests throughout all our channels. As the Sr. Technology Manager, People Data and Analytics, you will lead the overall delivery of our people data and analytics technology roadmap as well as ensure our systems are performant for our guests. This is a critical leadership role at lululemon, working very closely with business partners leveraging various methodologies to deliver on the priorities. You will lead world class full stack technology teams and deliver value to our guests in a release often, incremental value environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Leadership & Experience
• Prior experience leading or managing data engineering teams
• Comfortable owning delivery, quality, and operational outcomes across data and analytical platforms
Technology Stack
• Data Platforms: Databricks, MS Fabric, Snowflake
• Cloud: Azure Cloud Platform
• Streaming & Integration: Kafka, Azure Data Factory
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
• Data Governance & Catalog: Atlan or equivalent enterprise data governance tool
Data & Domain Expertise
• Proven experience managing sensitive and PII data in enterprise environments
• Prior exposure to People & Culture (P&C) / HR data domains preferred
• Strong understanding of data access controls, privacy, and governance expectations
Engineering & Architecture Skills
• Experience in data architecture and data modeling for analytics and reporting
• Prior knowledge of ML engineering enablement (feature pipelines, data readiness for ML)
• Ability to design scalable, reliable data solutions aligned with engineering and platform standards
qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and/or applicable experience in the information technology field
• 7+ years of experience in Technology
• 7+ years of experience directly leading, developing people and teams is required
• 7+ years of experience delivering in the people and culture space with a strong data/analytics background.
• Demonstrated understanding and thought leadership of analytics storage, instances, integrations, security and reporting.
• 5+ years of experience working with data warehouses and top industry technologies in the analytics space.
• Demonstrated ability to delivery on business priorities at the enterprise and portfolio level
• 5+ years of experience within a functional discipline such as engineering, architecture or program/project management
• Demonstrated experience managing $10M+ technology portfolios
• Demonstrated experience managing projects using various delivery methodologies including waterfall, agile and Kanban
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism in working collaboratively at all levels inside and outside of the organization.

compensation and benefits package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $171,800 - $225,500 the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
