about this team

The Global Risk & Advisory Services team at lululemon are problem solvers, insight and solution generators, and trusted advisors to the business. As the internal audit function for the organization, we leverage our risk and control expertise to support risk management and to drive continuous process improvements and cost savings. We partner with various parts of the business (Technology, Digital, Supply Chain, and Finance, to name a few) and engage in open dialogue to tap into the potential of our people and action innovative solutions. Our team is global in scope and drives continuous improvement in everything we do.  

 

core responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements, with a primary focus on SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) controls, as well as compliance and operational audits.
  • Participate in planning and scoping reviews, meeting with the stakeholders within the area being reviewed to understand and walk through the business and technology processes and identifying the key risks and controls to be assessed.
  • Apply data analytics to enhance the effectiveness, accuracy, and efficiency of audit activities.
  • Prepare audit work-papers, perform sampling, and execute audit procedures in accordance with established methodologies.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and controls to identify risk and business improvement opportunities.
  • Follow up with stakeholders on remediation of actions coming out of issues identified during audit.
  • Adhoc work on departmental projects and support with new processes/activities and special investigations.
  • Based in Vancouver, BC; building trusting relationships within the team, and with business partners globally.

qualifications

  • Degree in accounting, finance, economics, computer science, engineering or a comparable field (or working towards).
  • 0-5 years of experience in a public accounting firm, industry internal audit role or a related control function.
  • Relevant certification(s) (e.g., CIA, CISA, CPA, or other) is a plus but not required.
  • Retail industry experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, etc.) is an asset.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills, a natural affinity for being curious and inquisitive, and an ability to work with ambiguity, analyze situations and problem solve.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $73,400 - $93,800 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
