The Guest Data Science team uses data and machine learning algorithms help us understand the best way to serve guests needs. We drive revenue and engagement for organization through all touchpoints with our guest, from marketing to contact with our Guest Education Center. Our love for data and learning helps improve every guests interaction.
a day in the life: what you’ll do
The Data Scientist identifies and leads end-to-end Advanced Analytics projects using technical tools and methods. They are technical and functional leaders who build tools and share insights stakeholders need to make better decisions.
- Develops and manages targeting and segmentation models for the Guest Education Center.
- Evaluates and tests model performance to optimize models and execution.
- Performs ad hoc analysis for stakeholders to identify new applications of data science and machine learning algorithms to support business outcomes.
- Defines technical infrastructure and data model requirements for IT and data engineering organizations.
- Supports and advises Guest Education Center leadership on best practices for implementation of ML algorithms and ML Ops.
qualifications
- Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in a technical disciple such as computer science, statistics, or engineering
- Experience with supervised learning model development, evaluation, scoring and deployment.
- Ability to develop time-series, and predictive models
- Familiarity with unsupervised and machine learning algorithms (clusters, neural networks)
- Proficient in SQL & Python programming and modern development tools (e.g. Git, Databricks)
- Familiarity with structure and unstructured data types. Experience with cloud data architectures, and ability to develop model data sets from multiple internal data sources
- Experience working with or developing recommendation systems
- Experience working with contact center data and thorough understanding of key metrics.

Compensation and Benefits Package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $106,000 - $150,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
