About this team
lululemon Localization team lead the organization-wise localization strategy and projects, and support work with cross functional partners to achieve operation excellence. You will work closely with regional Localization Managers to ensure timely delivery. We expect you to be passionate about languages, and cross-cultural communication.
A day in the life
- Translate or transcreate English content into Thai to support business needs such as product education, internal training, corporate comms, marketing, etc.
- Play a key role of the proofreading phase of all major translation processes by proactively pursuing excellence in language quality and consistency across all platforms and channels in Thai
- Make informed language and copy decisions for Thai brand campaigns, including copywriting and transcreation, balancing brand intent, cultural nuance, and local market needs
- Create language guides and maintain terminology databases
- Actively seek, receive, and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and users to continuously improve language quality and localization effectiveness
- Proactively collaborate with cross functional partners including Brand, Digital, Learning & Leadership, and Regional teams to shape high quality Thai language outputs
- Supporting and guiding freelance translators on linguistic and stylistic questions
- Contribute to quality control through routine quality check with translation vendors and freelancers. Provide feedback and share guidelines to consistently improve their delivery quality
- Understand the needs of our international users
Qualifications:
- Native-level knowledge of English and the required language in both oral and written
- Extensive knowledge of language and culture differences and nuances
- At least 10 years of hands-on translation and creative copywriting
- Time management and organizational skills and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of industry trends and technologies
- Passion for languages and translation
- Knowledge on various TMS and CAT tools, localized SEO principles and trends. Basic knowledge of HTML and TXML technologies and asset will be preferred
