about this team: 

The Production Control (PC) teams are responsible for generating the workload for both Retail and E-Commerce, along with ensuring all processes related to effective order flow are happening on schedule.  They monitor workflow through the Distribution Centers (DCs) and make changes as necessary to hit daily goals, including minimizing aging orders. 


The Production Control Analyst leads process improvement initiatives within production control. They support scaling the department processes and capabilities to meet the increasingly complex business and operational requirements of our DCs. They identify opportunities to streamline processes, coordinate the implementation of those changes, maintain reporting, conduct analysis, and lead training.


a day in the life: 

  • Streamline production control processes at the DCs and promote process consistency across the distribution network
  • Develop and document process Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), business rules, guides and job aids
  • Develop standard content and cadence for departmental report outs, daily emails, and dashboards
  • Assist in delivering functional training to PC Coordinators, DC leadership and new hires in the department
  • Support the creation and maintenance of training materials
  • Actively coach and develop PC team members to increase talent pipeline for the department
  • Drive improvements that scale & simplify PC operations to deliver enhanced performance in primary functions
  • Partner with Engineering and DC Operations to identify improvement opportunities to optimize fulfillment
  • As needed, provide improvement proposals supported by a business case and obtain approval to implement changes
  • Partner with PC teams to support implementation of new initiatives and system changes, and evaluate and minimize impacts to the department
  • Document business and functional requirements, business processes, use cases, and user test plans
  • Develop business processes for determining optimized product slotting strategies and layout
  • Review system configuration settings and identify productivity and capacity enhancement opportunities
  • Assist with front line configuration of Warehouse Management System software (Manhattan Associates) in partnership with IT
  • Support wave planning and execution during critical periods
  • Assist Sr. Manager with integration of labor planning and optimization into PC planning process
  • Collaborate with local and network PC team members, technical peers, and business users to identify process improvements and standardization

  • Through written and oral presentations, articulate complex concepts in a way that is understandable to non-technical stakeholders 
  • Active contributor in problem solving with consideration of the overall tech capabilities and operational landscape
  • Possess strong collaboration skills and approach problems with a solution mindset
  • Experience with Manhattan WMS preferred
  • SQL language proficiency preferred
  • Experience coordinating completion of projects, tracking progress, and communicating updates preferred
  • Experience with Power BI preferred
  • Experience in high volume retail distribution environments highly preferred

  • Bachelors degree relevant to field preferred 
  • A minimum of six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams) 
  • Effectively works independently and with minimal direction
  • Experience analyzing reports and conceptualizing report templates
  • Ability to engage the business, be curious and ask questions, and analyze issues to diagnose root causes
  • Flexible and adaptable with schedule which could include nights, working required holidays, some weekends with occasional after-hours requirements and overtime

Compensation and Benefits Package  

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from$66,000-$86,600; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program , subject to program eligibility requirements.
