about this team

The Global Procurement team are trusted business advisors who strategically partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to create value and mitigate risk in strategic non-product purchases for the global organization.  The team supports the business in increasing its profitability and return on investment by creating value in our indirect supply chain through strategic & stakeholder-centric procurement.  From providing category expertise, market insights, cost savings opportunities, supplier performance and relationship management & developing short and long-term strategies, the Global Procurement team plays a key role in value delivery for our business.


Rooted within Global Procurement is the Procurement Strategy & Analytics function. This team enables value delivery across Category Management through Procurement Enablement, Procurement Intelligence, and Responsible Procurement. Beyond establishing strong data and process foundations, the team also drives alignment to lululemon’s core values and mandates related to People and Planet.

 

core responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Procurement – Strategy & Analytics, the Procurement Strategy Manager (Responsible Procurement), plays a critical role in bringing lululemon’s values to life within our supplier community. In partnership with IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Action) and other cross-functional teams, this role leads the development and/or execution of Responsible Procurement programs and initiatives within Global Procurement.


what you’ll do:

  • Lead the Supplier Inclusion & Impact program and continue to grow and advance Responsible Procurement initiatives.
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with supplier councils and certifying bodies.
  • Continuously evaluate Responsible Procurement programs to drive improvements in adoption, reporting, compliance, and overall effectiveness.
  • Manage third-party partners that support Responsible Procurement programs and initiatives.
  • Identify, monitor, and report on program success metrics, uncovering opportunities to strengthen outcomes.
  • Ensure Responsible Procurement practices are embedded within core Procurement processes.
  • Build internal awareness and engagement by providing education and coaching on Responsible Procurement processes, opportunities, and the strategic value they bring to Procurement and the business.
  • Support the development of annual procurement category plans and lead execution of Responsible Procurement efforts through a collaborative and inclusive approach that aligns to global strategic priorities.
  • Connect market intelligence and value analytics to procurement strategy, sourcing strategy, and category planning.
  • Analyze spend data and other sources to identify value delivery opportunities and uncover additional insights related to supplier diversity and sustainability

 

qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred: MBA, SCMP, PMP or other relevant professional designation or certification
  • 5+ years of Procurement experience
  • 3+ years of Responsible Procurement experience in indirect procurement—community outreach, building or managing Supplier Inclusion, Impact, and/or Sustainability programs
  • Data-driven thinker with proven ability to analyze complex data
  • Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office); experience with P2P (Coupa) or Oracle is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Demonstrates strategic understanding of equality imperatives and related policies within the scope of work. Establishes and oversees responsible procurement strategies.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale change efforts, influencing senior-level executives, and thriving in a high-growth, vertically integrated global company
  • Strong Procurement Analytics background and ability to apply value analysis to enable value delivery across Procurement.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $112,000 - $147,000annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
