about this team

The Lease Management team is responsible for the portfolio management of lease terms and requirements, ensuring adherence to the lease across the North American retail store portfolio. This role ensures that all lease terms align with executive approvals, meet financial targets, and adhere to global deal standards. Key responsibilities include lease reviews, oversight of lease data, critical date management, and the development of reporting and analytics related to lease actions. The Lease Management team collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders—including Lease Administration, Real Estate, Construction, Finance, Store Operations, Legal teams, and Landlords, ensuring seamless execution and compliance of lease documents.

 

core responsibilities 

  • Manage all lease obligations for assigned store portfolios, including lease reviews, renewals, amendments, estoppel certificates, SNDAs, and other required agreements
  • Abstract, validate and manage lease terms and key dates in lease management system (Lucernex) to support accurate portfolio tracking for new and existing locations
  • Lead new initiatives and projects, in addition to supporting process improvement and development
  • Audit landlords to ensure compliance with lease obligations and provide guidance on appropriate actions when violations arise
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external partners, providing timely support on lease-related inquiries

 

qualifications

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in commercial real estate 
  • Expertise in the understanding and interpretation of commercial lease language
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with lease management software Lucernex an asset
  • University degree or education in relevant specified field is an asset

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognises exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $81,500 - $107,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
