About This Team
 
The Technology Foundations team is a key part of the overall Technology team at lululemon. This team creates a uniquely lululemon, truly differentiated and elevate experiences and the associated enterprise services to streamline technology delivery for our technologists. The Technology Foundations team is focused on strategy and outcomes related to technology platforms, shared services, and engineering experiences.

The director of Technology Asset Management is responsible for establishing a governance and control foundation that enables lululemon to collect, aggregate, normalize and reconcile asset relationship data, partnering with procurement, and finance. Moreover, the director is responsible for establishing a hardware purchasing hub and hardware operations.
 
Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementing and operating our IT Asset Management vision, strategy, platforms and services
  • Define and implement an authoritative central CMDB platform, including discovery, service mapping and risk definition, and holistic management (contracts, owners, vendor, assets, controls)
    • Manage the CMDB to ensure accurate and up-to-date information on all assets.
    • Develop and enforce policies for data entry, maintenance, and auditing of the CMDB.
    • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure the CMDB supports business needs.
  • Define and implement asset policies based on technology, vendor and purchasing policies.
  • Enable informed decision making for partner teams (IT operations, IT support team and cybersecurity) as well as stakeholders (retail, supply chain, corporate systems).
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to technology assets.
  • Partner closely with FP&A, Procurement, and Vendor Management Office.
  • Establish a central function to streamline hardware lifecycle, from purchasing to operations, with a focus on asset purchasing strategies to optimize cost and efficiency.

 

  • Hardware Management:
    • Oversee the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of hardware assets.
    • Ensure hardware assets are tracked and managed throughout their lifecycle.
    • Develop and implement strategies for hardware refresh and end-of-life management.
    • Provide onsite hardware support to remote sites. 
  • Provide strategies for reducing the carbon footprint, managing e-waste, and promoting sustainable practices.
  • Manage a team of 3-4 technology managers (full time & contract) directly, or as part of a larger organization, across multiple geographies

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technology asset management experience with an emphasis on global fortune 500 companies, with 500,000 assets (including 50,000+ hardware assets). Up to 5 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of asset management experience.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience and ability to lead through direct reports (3-4), dotted line relationships and cross functional collaboration
  • Experience with IT/OT hardware management and 24/7 operation
  • Collaboration across multiple disciplines (Retail, Supply chain, Procurement, FP&A) 
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complex, enterprise-scale initiatives in an agile environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies for asset management.
  • Strong core consulting skills (demonstrated track record of quality delivery, interpersonal and cross-functional relationship skills)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering executive level presentations
  • Ability to drive results independently, but thrives in collaborative environments
  • Has a deep desire to learn and improve by seeking, accepting and acting on assertive feedback
  • Demonstrated leadership; mentorship, visionary, clarity of purpose, motivated, relentless execution
  • Minimum BA / BS degree from a four-year accredited university (advanced degree preferred)

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $182,000-$238,900annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
